I'm gobsmacked, it's so unlike the media to clickbait, sensationalise, embellish and plug a particular narrative.

AFLW 2024 - Round 10 - Chat, game threads, injury lists, team lineups and more.
My reading of this is that Collective Minds kicked up a stink and used Australia's overly broad defamation laws to manufacture an apology/retraction.
Just because the reporting of the story didn't meet a high legal threshold does not mean that the outcomes of the camp didn't have major consequences for the the Crows, or that the players who have specifically mentioned the camp and the fallout from it did not affect them. It would be absurd to think that a court ordered apology between journalists and CM means that the camp has nothing to do with the implosion of the Adelaide Football Club over 2018-19.
You know that Ray would be feelin it.Maybe you and 5 of them.
This "apology" is to Collective Minds because it completely sullied their reputation. A negotiated outcome which acknowledges that it wasn't Collective Minds intention to cauase harm. Most of the Crows supporter nuffies feel it is an apology to the Adelaide Football Club. It is no such thing. These stories written by these journalists because of club's handling of the entire ordeal. The players didn't leave because of the articles, they left because of what actually happened. You could argue that staff like Birdbrain were forced to leave because of the articles, because the club would have swept the issues under the carpet like they always have, but then nothing would have changed down there. These are the same idiot supporters demanding change, but also see the conduit to that change (the exposure of the goings on at the camp by these journalists) as the enemy. Complete Morons.
The great thing about this apology is that it serves as a reminder of how distastrous the camp run by Collective Minds was. Not sure why they wanted a public apology when the results are fairly clear.
Agree with a lot of this. Especially the media push did lead to change at our club. This "apology" is to Collective Minds because it completely sullied their reputation. No-one including Arthur Fonzarelli loses out when these headlined, highly self absorbed 2 , who in routinely bellow sensationalist "scoop" stories, get comeuppance.Everyone (Big Footy posters) loses out of this apology.
I still don’t respect Collective Minds and their camp clearly sucked, but now the media outlets look like sensationalist morons and Adelaide still took a nose dive straight down the ladder and lost keys players.
I preferred this story when it was fun and we were all dog piling on Collective Minds.

Both should be sacked
Not even in the remotest bit funny imo.
McClure had solid Intel that McGovern was leaving the Crows 6 months before it happened, he must have had solid Intel from someone to report this fiasco.
. Still don't think this exonerates the Crows much, Pyke and Burton lost their jobs, so there has to be some internal fallout at least.
Whatever shred of journalistic integrity she had was gone the moment she joined the trash over at Croc-of-shit media. No they won't.
Caroline is a National treasure for her part in exposing the James Hird and Essendon doping scandal.
She ain't going anywhere
#StandByCaro
Don't care about McClure either way though

Someone being the lard arse who left to get paid twice as much as Carlton? Not even in the remotest bit funny imo.

I always thought the playing of the Richmond song over and over was a positive not a negative to peoples mental health.
