Re: MCDFL - Part 3

I was in Darwin lAst week and heard that Dunolly are getting back James McNamee plus Richmond discard Relton Roberts & a couple of other handy Tiwi Islanders. Sounds like they'll need them?
Thats all well and good and would be good for the mcdfl if Relton comes down, But if he cant spend a year with Richmond on $$$ how will he do it for dunolly, i know you don't have to train and diet like afl but gee big call to go to Dunolly but would be good

Re: MCDFL - Part 3

Apologies, i thought you were from Newstead, wrong person.

Maybe you need to ease you way quietly back into the league Sherman rather than bagging clubs especailly when you are incorrect.
For all those that think the Brook rooms are below standard wait until you get to visit the phone box that creek have in store for the visitors.

Re: MCDFL - Part 3

I think we have lost sight of the argument here boys, The issue is labelling brook as a "selfish" club, which still is yet to be backed up with some actual hard evidence !! - We know our visitor rooms are a disgrace, and we are not proud of them, hopefully there will be work done on them very soon !!
Perhaps the better thing to do is move onto some actual Footy !!
How are things looking out at Talbot ? any recruits that are worthy of a mention ? how about the draw ? and word on when it will be finalised ?

The draw is out and it should be in the papers in the next couple of days, most clubs already have a copy.

Interleague will be in Bendigo on the long weekend against the LVFL

Re: MCDFL - Part 3

Hey boys a bit off topic , A mate gave me a jumper from a team in the mcdfnl its the same as the old brisbane lions jumper anyone know which club it is thanks

Re: MCDFL - Part 3

Who has Avoca got as coach?

Word is Balzan has pulled the pin as pres of Bushy and they are struggling to come up with anyone who wants to take over the reigns. Bloke from Maryborough told me last night they are in real danger of going under.

Talbot's ground is mickey mouse at the moment!

Highly doubt Oxley would ever play against Newstead. He has plenty of good mates there and has been there a long time now.

Re: MCDFL - Part 3

mark oxley has signed with harcourt also they seem to have got alot of players back to the club.Apparently has had enough of newstead and wants a change

Take your work on the Matter Huddle, but find it extremely hard to believe as the big fella has been retiring the past 3 seasons. Even last year the big Ox was tossing up whether to play or not . Be a big boost for Harcourt, who were in all sorts last year, hopefully they can fix the shortage of players they had last year !

In releation to Royal Park - Been battlers for a long time without showing any improvement for years. Perhaps it would be best to go into recess for a year, gain some stabilty by searching for the right coach and people and look forward to rebuilding in 2012 (Like Creek did in the mid 2000s)
Was watching the 1991 Bushy Vs Rovers video mid week, reminded me of the powerhouse they used to be !! hope they can bounce back and be a powerhouse again !:thumbsu:

Mate I apologies for that earlier, honest mistake. In regards to bagging other clubs thought, that is not my intention, all i have stated is the honest truth and the facts. Im not going into it all again and unearthing this argument once more but we know they need improvement and so do your away rooms. Each club does the best they can and that is all you can ask for i guess. If the league/clubs is/are going to continue to grow however then facilties need to aswell.

Royal Park will not pull the pin for a year, they have a new pres with Balzan still helping out as much as he can but just can't do it full time. And with others filling other roles around the club things are looking ok, (not great but ok) training starts after xmas in January and got a few new players keen to get things going, from what i hear no way they will fold for a year or at all

Lexton sound like they will be the pick of the new ones. Have picked up 5-6 quality players and havent lost too many so you would think they would be thereabouts. Natte will improve on last year so should be in the top 4-8 and Navarre are the unknown but people seem to think they will go well as well.

Talbot starts back into pre-season on Jan 18th. When do other clubs get back out there?

Navarre have picked up Fabian Bigmore and apparently have also done very well out of Great Western with a number of players heading to the grasshoppers.

Avoca back into training on Jan 30th.
