GH - a good WFA performer but untested at 2 miles, female rider - no thanks.

Glass Harmonium - gets too firey to trust to settle and run two miles, and hasn't given indication it will run it anyway. However - he does have a touch of Zazzman about him and is a better horse than Z. If he can get some cheap sectionals up front AND is at the absolute peak of his powers could finish Top 5.

Babysitting my niece, missed the first few, I love Dunaden, GH is a chance if he gets the distance, one of the most talented horses in the field IMO.

Manighar - gets to a more suitable trip, and has Ollie aboard for a reason.
Gate makes it hard and don't think it has the turn of foot to make up enough ground from the back or use up petrol early and hold them off.

Manighar will be my roughie at $48 - nothing wrong with the run in the Caulfield Cup, and I don't think the 21 alley's gonna be a great disadvantage as everyone thinks. They seemed to do alright out there last Saturday.

Manighar will get a pay cheque (top 10) but is likely to find 4-5 that are too classy for him.

Unusual Suspect - One of the top 3 most impressive runs in the CC, and had the fastest closing split. Query is the strength of that form, and whether ability extends to beyond 2400. Will jump into the race at some stage and be there from that gate but just have a real doubt on it getting the trip and being good enough.

Fox Hunt is a good place bet IMO, probably can't win, but a must have for first fours and tris.

Lucas Cranach - you have to hope he has improved on his CC run (which was quite good). If he doesn't improve on that I don't think he can win - and I think he is just a little short for my liking.

What's LC's history at the distance?
To me he didn't finish the Caulfield Cup off that well, although he had excuses, he died on his run, didn't look like a 3200m horse that day.

First trip over anywhere near this distance - and I agree it looked like he slightly died on his run at Caulfield.
agree LC did not look like a 2 miler. but... the stable seems to rate and the strapper has been involved in 5 cup winners. Brown on board, maybe will have in the odd exotic.
