Had a setback, which is never ideal for Melb Cup preparation. Then add in that it got outsprinted to the line by Tullamore and I'm prepared to risk it

Worry is he will be wearing bar plates (sore feet?) but if he is 100% he is a massive show here.

A quality animal that is coming into form at the right time.

Mourayan - fit and in form, loves a bit of softness in the track and will get the distance no worries. Bowman on board. Really like him for a place, rates highly.

Precedence - racing like a horse that has had the ping trained out of him looking for distance, when his best efforts was at around 2000m. Think he wants Good going also. Would anyone be surprised if Bart won it though - he has a touch of the Viewed's about him I guess?

Red Cadeaux is my selection actually. Really like his chances. Don't be fooled by people labelling him as a wet tracker. Has won on better ground. Around 40 bucks on the tote atm. EW all day!!
