Surely Bauer bad luck must come to an end, when do they release the markets for the cup next year normally? Around May??

Very very early but 364 days out from the cup I would have my moneys on Bauer and Tanby

Worth remembering that horses' ages are determined according to the breeding season of the hemisphere they're racing in, e.g.

Bauer, f. April 2003 in France, currently a 9yo by our time but really an 8yo
Starspangledbanner, f. September 2006 in Australia, weighted as a 4yo in the Duke of York Stks in GB in May 2010 while still a 3yo
