i think you fly Qantas not emirates if you going to europe, Emirates is only if she goes dubai.

Even Duritz produces better humour than this

Godolphin sniffed around long and hard last year and I reckon QEWY might be the one to break the duck for them. It's going to happen for them eventually.

Versatile horse, led the whole way at Geelong and won well, ran midfield in the Melbourne Cup and improved sharply down the straight, and was then the best thing in Australia that day leading from post to post and winning the Sandown Cup last year.

don't think Qewy is good enough especially with the extra 3-4kg this time round. i will wait to see what new blood Appleby brings over.

Yeah he'll be mid 50's kgs. But I'm happy enough having a little look at 51s. I'm not a huge punter, more of an avid spectator and happy to open up the kick 12 months out to see if I can prove myself right.

Unless I'm on track, then it's a free for all.

Bored this evening browsing some overseas form on horse racingnation.com
Vazirabad!
Has the style and turn of foot to feature in the Melbourne Cup, but would the Aga Khan head over again? Arc may be too tempting and his last experience was Verema (still best horse in that race IMO may she RIP :()

I'd think they'd have more lofty ambitions than Melbourne given the staying ranks are pretty weak over there at the moment (especially with OOSG getting rolled AGAIN over night in Ireland).

Plus its pretty exposed so would get a stack of weight I would have thought.

And a great run from Beautiful Romance but as they say don't win it the first time head downunder you won't the next
i would much rather be on Beautiful Romance than Verizabad on that run but they did go pretty fast up front and only beat Big Orange who has failed twice here so the juries out.
Thats a magnificent race track by the way!

Have you been to Meydan HeathComeBack ?
Imagine it would be extravagant to say the least!
Best overseas track I've been to is Goodwood it really lives up to the "Glorious" tag.
Most picturesque closely followed by Brighton looking out to the ocean

On topic I disagree I think Vezarabad would be the one I'd like to be on. It raced with the sit and sprint style we love here for staying races and proven on multiple occasions can win over 3200m at Gp1 level

you can't really judge on this horse beat that horse which failed here. will lead to dead ends. Yeats still flopped and Red Cadeuax is still part of folklore. surfaces, weather, undulatations, travelling and race pattern change too much from europe. safer but still fraught with danger from oceanic/asian racing nations that are very similar to aus.

naa i havent been .. yet!

as for the race, i find that sitting outside the leader is the end of most horses chances, and the further they go the harder it is to win. if BR gets a sit she wins by a couple of lengths, but on the basis of not really knowing the horses racing pattern i dont know if he/she always does that
