It was a clear peak performance last start, unsure if it says more
about VDC or those chasing?
As with most of the internationals, her best is good enough but Im glad I'd given up on her arriving
& didnt bother trading out (until Wed)

Was great to see Seth, glad to have a few live tickets in both cups. If they get the penalty and the guaranteed start, I imagine the Caulfield Cup will be a dead run though, ala Green Moon last year.

Who would know what's next with Lloyd but rumour is Cox Plate.
Maybe last year's injury may turn out a blessing?
TVN reporting Lloyd saying Masked Marvel is "the best Ive got"

Godolphin have put only Royal Empire into quarantine after his 2nd last night @ Ascot
K Mcevoy booked

Royal Empire has gone into quarantine. No mention of Ahzeemah - presumably he's not coming.

Cirrus de Aigles thrashed his rivals in a group 2 overnight. He was beaten by Tres Blue previous start.

Bensley reporting Nash has been dumped from Fiorente, for Olly

So Gai is firing her number 1 rider, arguably the best jockey in the country for another jockey who was as just come back after 10 months out of the saddle??

Maybe Singo is right, Gai is losing her mind.

Yep, Team Williams are hard to predict. Adrian Dunn reporting Cox Plate is on for Seville. Still 101 with bet365. Easy back and lay if it does indeed go that way, but who bloody knows!!

Isn't Tommy Berry her #1 guy when he is here now?

Good call either way imo, Olly is twice the rider Nash is

Posted on another forum back just before the More Joyous saga that Rawiller was on shaky ground as stable jockey for Waterhouse. Thought that James McDonald was being groomed as the replacement though that's probably not happening.

Interesting that Tommy Berry who starred during his 3 month stint in HK ( where I live ) knocked back a job to be the stable rider for John Moore in HK. This is a prestigious and financially rewarding job. I suspect that Berry will take over as stable rider, or Gai could do a Waller and not have a stable jockey.

Does Gai still go on with the Cox Plate which I doubt he can win, then onto the Melbourne Cup . From memory she pulled Fiorente out of the Caulfield Cup which he could win. I suppose Fiorente CAN win the Melbourne Cup.

Still kicking myself for not getting on It's A Dundeel for the Cox Plate. Rate him as the best horse in Australia, and he usually flies at his 3rd or 4th run - Does fall off the cliff at his 5th run. So thought I would wait till after the Underwood Run his 2nd run back. gets up and wins and the $12 to $14 becomes $5.00. Ouch !

Think It's A Dundeel can be very competitive in next year's Arc if he isnt at stud.

Treve smashed them in the Arc but Penglai Pavilion, who ran second to Tres Blue in Tres Blue's last run, ran 5th.

Like Tres Blue, Treve is a French 3yo foaled 7 April 2010. Tres Blue foaled 3 May 2010.

May have saved your dough, chance to miss this weekend with a hoof abscess, which will hamper his cox plate prep

Just had my first bet on the cup. Mt Athos E/W at $18's on Ladbrokes and Masked Marvel E/W at $21 on the same bookmaker. Think both will be very hard to beat.

The move has been rumored all year. Think she is too much of a Sydney person but stranger things have happened. Had to laugh at the reason given for Rawiller's sacking from Fiorente - "It's better to have a Melbourne jockey - Poor Nash spent his 15 years riding in Melbourne.

Fiorente hammered on betfair in the last 48 hours - potentially getting a bit short - especially being with a trainer who for mine still has question markets over her ability to train a Cup Winner.

After watching the Metrop - I don't think that is the right formline (usually the case and I think so again this year). Only Lloyds out of there would be a chance of winning it given the improvment he can get out of his on the day.

Had a doubt on Fiorente running a strong 2 miles last year & for me that doubt still exists.
It was a complete sit & sprint in 2012,he has more weight & Gais had time to **** him up.
Has got to siilly odds a month out.

Anyone have any word on if Gai will move to Melb permanently?

Mt Athos for me, will continue to back whilst dble figure odds

Have heard that she won't move, but will have a much bigger presence down here next year. With the likes of Fiorente and Tres Blue in her stable she doesn't really have much of a say. Damien Oliver on board Fiorente now also kills off another Sydney connection in Nash.
