It honestly isn't that bad - we've been 'competitive'... it just so happens that every second touch is a critical turnover...

3 goals very late probably flattered the Hawks, and us missing a few sodas also flatters them.

Nathan Jones?

Do we know how to tackle! seriously how a player manages to get the ball out when we lay a tackle really confuses me!! And they even get it out when we have 2 guys tackling him

I've thought this for a while mate. As I keep saying, the endeavour is there, the execution isn't.

We've had a hideously ridiculous quantity of ineffective tackles each week. As we did against Freo last Sunday for example.

Hence why we have such a low share of possession as well as a low tackle count. We're tackling, but not successfully a lot of the time.

But I'd have to say our tackling today has generally been an improvement on what I've seen mostly before now.

Everyone stares at a car crash, this one is just in slow motion.

It's weird. We've got individuals who are executing. See Nate Jones, Dawes, Garland... But we just can't get the team thing going.

That's also lack of confidence, of course. After all, one of the first things to suffer when a team's struggling in that regard is flow and coordination.

Little consolation for you probably but Jones is absolute quality. He would be in the starting team for just about every club. I really like watching him play. Even in situations like this he plays like the game is in the balance. A lot of respect for that.

Meanwhile up in the coaches box....

Because we're sickly fascinated by train wrecks, unfolding carnage, etc. Just when you thought things couldn't get worse, the bar was lowered and you were there to see it.

I hope your taking the piss. 82-13 at half time doesn't seem competitive to me.

Great chase by Chip. Anyone who says his effort this year isn't there is talking out of their arse.

But the turnovers hurt us SO much. We were out and then turn it over in the middle of the ground.
I say it and I'm not talking out of my arse mate. He puts in some times, other times he does not.

I wonder if our attempted tackles is up again today. What else is there to enthuse about?...... Jacky Watts is doing ok I suppose....um....that's about it.

is Jamar playing today?

Still can't get over how terrible Rodan is. At one stage he was in the centre on Brad Sewell. Is that the best we have??? Surely someone is taking the piss?

Remember mate it's attempted tackles according to Neeld that matter.

Apparently we have heaps of them.

Arse. You're talking out of it.

Looks like the most convincing argument to keep watching is the car crash analogy. It's probably the best anyone can do really. But the dance off on Grease is about to start to... yeah... I may not turn it back.

Last thing we need right now is the "I told you so" stuff mate. We're all hurting.

I'm not actually trying to do that, seriously wondering whether we're all on the same page. Everyone knew this would happen, it could be even worse.

I think most of us would be, but even if Syl is still in the Neeld camp then it's fine by me.

Greg Healy seems to find it all pretty amusing.

Not a good look for a board member.

Unless he is now thoroughly looking forward to firing Neeld on Monday and it's putting a smile on his face...
