Membership Tally 2012

Is Family Day likely to pull some member renewals/sign ups?
Easy as, head down to the club, sign up on the spot.
Might be good for a 100 or so numbers on board?
If I didn't have mine yet, I would've thought it to be a perfect time to get on top of things.
Still trying to lock in my 'kid for a day' paperwork to get autographs ;)

On another note, did anyone catch the Westhoff interview on Triple M at 4:30pm today?

There is no punishment administered by the official government of the Port board.

So the SANFL haven't sent out the Essential Power memberships yet. Next week she said, for anyone who also has one.

14/02 - 23,938

2,000 behind last year, roughly.

Could this be a reason? The crows went from 29,000 to 40,000 very very quickly. I wonder if a SANFL membership deadline fell during that time.

New coach and the promise of a guaranteed seat in 2014 would have a lot of them signing up. Fear of missing out will be strong. This year may see the biggest divide between season ticket holders and attendances for them.

As for us, we have a lot to contend with - shocking 2011 season, novelty of OneClub wearing off, members not afraid to wait until 2014.

As for us, we have a lot to contend with - shocking 2011 season, novelty of OneClub wearing off, members not afraid to wait until 2014.

We also suffer from a lack of a premium on the seats themselves. The casual Port fan - and we have loads - knows for a stone cold fact they can get a fantastic seat in the house on any given matchday, even Showdown, if and when they see fit to get off the couch and down to LAAMI Stadium, let alone any category of membership they choose should they want.

Contrast this to West Coast or Adelaide when even casuals have to hold their season ticket and keep renewing year-in year-out lest they lose their seat(s) to the waiting list, hence the Crows usually hit their 40000+ membership tally and their 8000ish 'Gold' (Premium) cap yet can have anything upto 15000 no-shows in a given week.

We get the no-shows without the bloated membership cushion to pretend that everything's rosy in the SA football model.

And reduced redcoat presence/activity means you can probably get a way better seat than you paid for.

all good points, except FYI - as of last year, the crows had no waiting list left (and even so, that's not widely known anyway, so the 'concept' of a waiting list has the same affect and it could be 'back' this year all things considered) ;)

I got my AAMI membership the other day. Not good that we're down on last years, what would a strong NAB Cup showing do to boost memberships? Hopefully the general footy fever which will kick in on the weekend can do a bit

If you look at Adelaide's membership page its actually set out a lot clearer than ours. Plus they have some interesting categories:

- Premier $75 to be a club member and you get 3 games at Footy Park. At this stage our $95 club membership has no game rights.

- Vic members Family and Gold Family for Vic members. We don't have this category

- Interstate see the Crows play live in your home state, get a free ticket to three home games at AAMI $95. We have dropped our interstate membership prices from $140 last year to $95, get a ticket to 1 game in your home state, but no 3 games at Footy Park like the crows. If they did include those 3 games then they would count these memberships in the AFL recognised totals.

- Global - $50 to be a member anywhere in the world. We don't have this.

- Group Season Ticket - for 5+ people Experience the action and atmosphere of game-day with your staff, clients or social group while receiving group package benefits! from $2,100.

Our classic membership for $95 includes 3 games from my understanding.

Don't guess. If you go to the booklet sent out to members or the link in my last post and click on the drop box you will see there is no right to any games.

In 2009 and 2010 the club announced game day rights to 3 games in late March. Last year there were no rights - or if there were they announced them well into the season.

it wasn't a guess. My daughter's classic membership card has a statement on it for access to 3 games this season.

Sorry for doubting you Natman.

I'll be stuffed if I know why the club would print a membership options book and then on its website say there are no game day rights attached then actually issue a card with rights to 3 games. And we wonder why our club is struggling? Insert shakes his head smiley.

Anyone who lives outside SA and Victoria, do you have your interstate membership card? Does it say you have rights to 3 games at Footy Park?

LOL, yes.

Still got my post-OneClub 'Port Adelaide Mapies' membership card.

as of 15/02 - 24, 040

Cracked 24K!!

Not sure why these weren't counted yesterday :p.
but if we got like 100 members overnight, that's swell!

For family day, my parents are signing up, so maybe others will too?

No problems. As you said, why is there a difference?

Thats what my Fiance and I are doing.

Alot of people would have been lazy like myself and not renewed yet, its convenient to do it friday :thumbsu:

I won't pay $95 for access to a game in GWS.

I would however pay $50 to be a global member like the Crows seem to have, but yet again we don't have this option.

I emailed the Club and the OnePort guys last year but got no response from anyone.

My Foxtel subscription is my contribution again this year until I can get some value.
