Hoping he can install that toughness, mongel and fight he and his brother used to play with.
We win this game by 50 points if we have the old Scott brother steel.

One positive is a loss like that gives Scott lots of ammunition to instill toughness both mentally & physically.

I'm curious what he says on 360 but I can't stomach that show any more.

Club will probably have his segment up available somewhere. Saves having to watch most of their crap.

Felt like every week the team has come with a tailored plan to try and get the W. As opposed to recent years where we rock up with the “system” with no real regard for the opposition. Imagine if Draper and Flip actually played out of their skins today and dominated. We restricted their corridor use really well in the first three

ah yes, we should have got Brad and Chris’ older brother Steel Scott.

Speaks well. Gives away little and he's incredibly measured.
He's gonna do a lot of good at essendon
Just watched the presser. Spoke well and won't paper over any cracks. Admitted we got smashed in the last.

Refreshing, you can tell he clearly knows where we can improve. Agreed, very measured.

We've played 2 poor quarters this season, Q1 against the saints and Q4 against the pies.

Other than those lapses he has installed a structure game plan that the players are buying in.
But for those 2 quarters too, we'd be undefeated.

These are good signs

I like how he has worked the team defense. In general they are allowing the opposition to take the sideways or short forward kicks out of our forward line and we are setting up the zone through the middle which pushes back straight down the ground and then moves left or right depending on where the footy is coming from. The weakness is when it breaks down by allowing the second or third kicks or forward handball through the middle or when it gets overlap but it has been 7/10 effective in not just defending but slowing down the play and not allowing as much quick transition. The next step is obviously a tighten up of the ball moving through the zone but it is an effective starting point which is not overly complex and allows the weaker defenders to still play a pretty effective role as they are pushing back into defense and sweeping to one side or another in numbers rather than an actual structure where everyone has to be in line or in a spot. It is quite interesting to watch as at times we look like we are giving up too much easy ground but we end up actually forcing them to kick it where we want to defend.
