With their highest pick being 29 Melbourne were always going to "win" this, short of adding a future 1st or something silly like that. Hibberd is a gun back pocket with a beautiful kick and should be consistently in the mix for AA honours in the future.

Fair trade. Melbourne get a win assuming you get Hibberd back at his best. Essendon got pick 29 the best pick Melbourne could offer from this years draft. We most likely aren't going to use pick 59 as looking at our list spots we are most likely only taking 3 or 4 live selections in the draft. I think this is a win for Melbourne. Good player, very good in the air, can carry the ball, tough. Hes very left sided and his offence suffers when the opposition puts work into him but overall hes still a quality player.

Buyer's remorse. Don't panic. Most of the suspended players had a disappointing 2015 because of WADA. Hibberd's in great shape and looking forward to a fresh start. He'll be a valuable part of your backline for the next 3 -4 years.
