Ratts never won eight games in a row though.

When we win a finals game, then it will be a fact that Vossy is the best Carlton coach of the last twenty three years.

The premiership is the ultimate goal for sure though, and we will win one under him imo.
But Ratts ended losing streaks against the likes of Sydney, Saints and others whom demolished us years on end. And a huge belting of * in an elimination final and bar injury and questionable last minute adjudication against Weagles in a semi may have been a prelim. Also can’t complain about the continuous beltings of the Tigers.

Ratts was a very good coach for us. He was disgracefully treated by the muppets on our board imo.

I'd love to see him back at the club in some capacity or another. He was an assistant coach at the Hawks, when they won the three in a row after all.

They just keep topping their 'best win for years' imo, utterly amazing.

Something Vossy deserves a lot of credit for and which I got completely wrong was his "its all about defense" mantra mid-season when we were really struggling. I thought WTF is he talking about, we can barely kick 50 points a game. But the games vs Pies and Dees in particular, we simply don't win those without the defensive structure, frenetic pressure and tackling application.

I don't know who changed our strategy after a point is kicked but kudos to them.
We had the worst in the league for 5 years and earlier this year, but it's now fast paced and takes pressure off the forwards .
Hoping Voss did it but thinking it was someone else as Voss stuck with the slow sideways movement up until 8 weeks ago.
Ultimately the head coach is responsible. Can't be the only once criticised for our failings and then not given credit for improvements. I agree one point though - our kick outs are an example where it looks like we've tweaked our strategy to improve ball movement.

He has missed finals last year by a bee’s whisker and he has got us marching into finals this year on the back of a streak of wins and a game style that looks like it will stand up in finals. I would have taken that when he took over at the beginning of 2022. Hard to believe given where we were 10 weeks ago. I didn’t think he had it in him. I was wrong. Well done Michael Voss

Voss has done wonderful job, I knew all along he’d get us going , . I’m not afraid to admit I cried tonight, haven’t shed a tear in manny many years, usually like getting blood from rock, but when Cripps kicked that pearler . What a man. Used to catch the train down, La Porcella dining , run amok and head home. The baggers are back in business

Now that we have reached my personal pass mark for our season, I will hold my hand up and say I was wrong about Voss. I wanted him out as little as 3 months ago. I didn’t think he had improvement in him and I thought he had lost the players.

The club is in a wildly different position and he is a massive part of that. Keep proving me and plenty of others wrong Vossy. The list is certainly capable of going the whole way.
