Culture is clearly this trios number 1 priority. Really good to see
The club has had a massive reset. Sayers is an experienced businessman, Cook is the best CEO in the AFL sphere, putting Diesel on the board to replace Judd as the director of Football means that we have someone who is devoting 100% of their time to the club instead of using the club to grow their own business. And now a new coach. The culture of the club is going to have a massive paradigm shift for the better I think.

Very excited and love the panels selection.

Vossy is obviously hungry for success, has blue blood being a blues supporter growing up, has worked on his coaching craft for many years and showed amazing determination and resilience to secure a senior position. He Will drive high performance.

Loved the presser with 2 favourite parts:
1. I am Competitive
2. His love for his childhood Carlton heroes the Dominator and Kenny Hunter.

Welcome Vossy take us to the promised land!

Congratulations to Voss.

I like the fact that he is a down to earth sort of personality. His time at port would be invaluable but being at the helm is obviously a different kettle of fish so he will need good support from the club to ensure we don't have another DT situation in a couple of years time.

2 seasons? Wow. I’m thinking some here will have the hatchet out after 2 games (assuming we lose them).

Sounds right. There will be some who will post bullshit even if we win them.

Anyway, enjoyed the press conference.

If I had to be picky Voss did stumble with his words a couple of times and he kept referring to his notes. Both a sign of nerves.

But his anecdote re: Kenny and the Dominator was terrific. He also began to relax in the latter part of the interview and nailed the questions around the game plan, the assistants and whether he had doubts going for the job (“no”).

I’m so broken by this club that I can’t say with any confidence whether Voss is the right man for the job. But yesterday I upgraded my membership. So I’m invested! I wish him all the best. I do enjoy a good redemption story.

My workplace has embraced radical candour as the framework of effective communication.
I suspect that Voss felt very natural with the "Challenge Directly" aspect of feedback and what he has learned in the past eight years is the importance of that being coupled with "Care Personally". Good lessons to have learned and hopefully he's ready to build a culture that upholds standards and helps each player become the best version of themselves.

I wish him all the best.

When I picked Vossy as my preferred choice, there were only four other's there. Today's presser only confirmed that he is the best choice, better than Clarko or Lyon, something to prove, strong leadership , proven, and an unashamed bagger.....
Hi Ho Away on the Vossy Possie.......

Well it's obviously in your head so much the need to comment/mock it, is that no man's land?

The space between their ears is a desert... so technically a no mans land :D

I was apprehensive like everyone. But there was a clear lack of options. Kingsley being the main competitor who was my preferred but then again he hadn’t coached a team before.

After hearing Voss speak I think he will be good. Speaks very well.

Got Brisbane job with no experience, is better for it and will have learned since then.

If you take away the Brisbane experience, everyone would be like he’s a coach in waiting. Champion player and leader.

He also clearly hungry to coach. He could taken the easy option and gone media path but always had a desire to coach again.

Brian cook signed off on it after extensively interviewing him. He can hopefully mould him like he did bomber and Chris Scott.

Get some good assistants around Voss and I’m good with it.

Coming round to the Voss era.

You erase Brisbane and he’s the top assistant candidate base on playing career and who he is as a person.

Welcome Voss and good luck.

My fingers are crossed that you don't have an injury run like this year.

Finals or bust in 2022!
