Gotta say all 3 at this press conference seem not necessarily just smooth, but honest and transparent with their answers.

Good speakers, but also speak quite naturally whereas Liddle and Teague were smooth but in a more robot way.

You won't get a more experienced coach coming from the assistant role than Voss!

He's a good get, his time at Port has been up for a while, assistants stagnate after a few years, but I reckon he'll be great for you guys!

Can you take Hinkley too?

Gotta say I’m very happy knowing that we now have a coach who dead set hates losing & has a history of success. He’s not going to accept half measures & half efforts. The man was an animal in his playing days & can’t wait to see him instill that as the standard for the boys.

You could just see how giddy he was talking about the Dominator. I think he is a genuine Blue - obviously he will be an immortal Lions player, but he clearly has a love for the Carlton FC.
He'll be an immortal Carlton coach if he gets us some mother****en flags!

If Parko is impressed with someone's leadership and management abilities, then so am I.
This... this gives me a lot more confidence that the rest of the panel put together... except for maybe Diesel... but for Voss to have impressed both Parko and Diesel, it speaks well for Voss.

Very interesting press conference. I wasn’t thrilled first off with the choice but will support it.

After watching the conference, I have softened a bit to Michael. Perhaps because it is now a fact he is our coach and so might as well get behind him.

But at the same time I couldn’t help but feel that the standard set of making finals next year from the previous press conference has weakened to allow Vossy some breathing space, which I am not a fan of.

However, on the other hand I was much more comfortable with seeing the panel of Sayers, Cook and Vossy, than I have been for many years of seeing key leaders at our club.

All the best Michael, I truely hope you succeed.

Not my first choice, this entire board used to mock him relentlessly during his time coaching Brisbane.

Moving to SA for an assistant role showed his desire to be in the coaching environment and Port have been successful in his time.

Sayers is the one Im really impressed with, he can handle the media so much better than MgLo, hopefully he, Cook and Voss can all row in the same direction and stabilize the narrative around the club and put a stop to the players influencing the board (rumours).

Going to take me some time to get used to the idea of liking Voss

Hopefully he is ruthless with the players, even if it means some can't hack it and drop off, as although talented many have had it too good for too long.

Voss. Coaching record? I'm not sure I have quite that much faith in the process. But - I'm willing to reserve judgement for at least 2 seasons. Welcome aboard.
