McDougall isnt match fit played well last week though. Body still a bit sore.
Beer and Tucker had minor injuries which should be only 1 week off each. Finals taty should be at full strenght. So 2 or 3 will miss out from this weeks side.

Well if McDougall isnt match fit surely another game would be beneficial for him before the finals starts!!!
Cant see Macca playing has barely been there all year and it would just be wrong of Taty to kick someone out to play him...
Could play two's tho if Taty needed him would be more than handy in any two's side!

McDougall and McMahon are both playing 2s this week with beer and tucker having weeks off. Reserves side will be strong with around 5 senior players ending up there come finals time.

I would rate Mcmahon in tatyoons top 6 he should go straight back into the seniors if tatyoon are 2 have any chance of beating hawkesdale.

Well done Lismore/Derrinallum Demons on finishing THIRD in both the firsts and seconds. There are many teams below you so you have had a great season.
Many strong performances and some good young players. Well done Jahn Knight on a great year and the Pauls Dairies award. Despite all the anti-Demon sentiment on this site, some of us still support you and recognise the joy and solidarity you bring to our community.
All the best with the finals, and may the Demons continue to provide enjoyment for all in this area. GO DEMONS!!!!

Let the finals to begin.
So does anyone have any thoughts on the games this weekend. Tatyoon should start warm favourites against lismore. Moyston aswell against caramut but it could be a danger game for them.
Chris Milne made a solid return. Just adds that physical side to taty. With Tucker and Beer and Maybe McDougall to return will be an interesting week out at Taty.

Moyston-Willaura in a close one, Tatyoon easily!

Moyston should beat caramut pretty easy. We played them on the weekend and they dont have quitehave the cattle in the paddock to match moyston. Rely to much on leahman. They do have some pretty quick smaller blokes who can run with the ball.

It will be interesting to see if "Crackers" Rogers from Lismore plays 1s or 2s this week? Is to good to be running around in the reserves?

Now that the season is finished we could try and pick a team from the best players in the league for their overall seasons:

B: Jubb D.Beer Hendo
HB:N.Byrne A. Leahman Jelbart
C: C. Flower A. Ward M. Bouchier
HF:Habel A.Tucker R.Tucker
F: Scholl F. Matthews T.Lamont
R: ??? Fisher J.Hetherington
I: M. Carr, M.Johnson, S.McDougall, K.Dunn, N. Stewart, McKenry

Spot on Bumbles!

A complete un-educated, idiotic decision by a group on the committee that thought change was needed for no other reason than that.

Don't worry, it has stirred the emotions of plenty of supporters, and I think this committee will want to have plenty in place soon, or else some heads will roll come AGM time.

They will look stupid if the Rams get over LD this week and make the finals, but regardless of that result, some big steps have been taken to form a solid future based on youth.

Jumbo has been rail-roaded, by a pack of two-faced arseholes!

well it shouldnt be new to jenkinson, pretty sure he rail roaded darrich to get the job back didnt he?

As for the committee, pretty good call if you ask me, i think the last committee had trouble balancing the books! They definitly need an independant coach!!!!

Always seems to end on bad terms where ever jenkinson goes!! or is it just me.

Seems you may have a personal involvement!

You left out jahn knight? are you serious? won the best player voted by the time keepers this season and you dont include him. do you have any brains?
in reply to "mcleanmagic" crackers rogers probably is to good to be running around in the reserves, but his head is alot bigger than his ability.

Now bloods, can you please yell l/d to a flag? haha just thought id take you up on that, after defeating a defiant glen dunkeld side. who if they can hold onto the young players will only improve. Jumbo seemed gutted on the weekend, after putting everything into the club.
carn dees! lets go finals

You seem to know plenty....and are probably one that throws knives like a lot down that way.
As for Glen, he resigned before the season ended, or did you forget that to suit your argument.
I follow the Rams yes and have three boys play for them, probably unlike you who just throws shit from afar.

I agree that an independant coach would be good, but the timing and the way the committee went about this decision was appalling, especially when it is local people that get flicked......and usually you have someone in mind when you make such a decision, don't you!

Jumbo virtually coached the kids and seniors this year as well as run a fund raiser that put $11000 into the club, but that goes un-noticed and mostly un-heralded.

You seem pretty concerned and blunt in some things you say, but are you going to come on board and help the club in any way......or be a typical mud-raker behind a mask!

Unlike plenty of people from these communities, even though we don't always get what we want, I will always stand by the club, whoever coaches!!

there was more to darroch's resignation than meets the eye!!!if you have an knowledge of the rams you would know that.

tell me a nice way to sack a coach? the committee might have a coach already lined up?

the money jenkinson helped raise would only have been a small portion of what he was getting paid.

well we will see if jenkinson is a true believer in the merger, if he stays around to help the club out!!!!

Yes i did forget about knight. He should make the team. He can start in the back pocket instead of Jubb which was ment to be bubb.

1. I was part of Glen's coaching staff that season, and his words were that because of a young family he did not want to do it anymore.......if you know different, well then he lied to us!

2. If you had no one to immediately appoint, why would you not wait until the end of the season, especially when they were a chance to make finals right up until the last round. You at least owe that to any coach regardless of your later intentions. When that word gets out it reflects badly on the club!......club pres says they have no one lined up....and he has no reason to lie to me!

3. Jumbo coached for well under that amount quoted and that is a fact......in fact two auctions he organised, paid for the best part of three years of his coaching......any committee member can verify that!

4. If Jumbo wishes to coach elsewhere while he can, good luck to him........using the old line, about hanging around to help out the merged club is a good one, especially when some up your way decided to abort the club and move on last year.

Now tell me Dragon how do you know he won, when the last four rounds of the Paul's Dairies Award won't be counted until the League Medal night.
Jahn was equal leader with the Puma's Craig Flower on 19, with Hawk-Mac's Murray Habel on 18.

You don't do the time-keeping do you?

How do you expect me to 'yell' the Demons to a flag!

Had a chat to young Damian Pemberton after the game.....good young kid, who plays a good solid game as a defender. Like his work!

Ill admit im guessing, but after being in l/d best players since they stopped putting the votes up his win seems certain.
Young bloke at g/d played a very good game, number 5 "chicken"
hes one to watch in the future. Just taking the piss out of ya bloods:p
The dees probs dont have a chance at winning the g/f but hey they did finish third, which is an achievement for itself.

Been very interested to read this forum on my old league all year.
Has kept me up to date with what has been happening and now that the Home and Away season has come to a close I thought I would say thanks to Bloods for having a clue and an objective view on all teams.
Keep up the good work.

Blokes from Ararat taking pot shots at Taty blokes has been interesting over the year as Taty has always had a great mix of good blokes from both Taty and Ararat... as well as the odd clown.... who is always from Ararat.

And Dragon get off Crackers back.... his ego might be big but so it should be, as he has won more games for Lis/Derri over the years than he has lost and hurt a few of us along the way..
I for one enjoyed playing against him.

Good Luck to all in the finals and I personally would like to see Hawks/Mac get up as it has been far too long between drinks.

Brad Sholl the winner of the Eagles B & F from Murray Habel, David Jelbart and Frankie Matthews...
Suggest it may have been closer if Frankie had not been injured..
Obviously Sholl has had a great year also finishing top ten in the league goalkicking with 49 for the season!

Dont they count finals? The best players usuaully play well in finals so they should be considered you would think.

So are these old? PAULS DAIRIES:
1.KNIGHT, Jahn Lismore Derri 21
2.FLOWER, Craig MoystonWillaura 19
3.HABEL, Murray Hawkesdale Mac 18
4.MCKENRY, Brenton Penshurst 14
5.SHOLL, Brad Hawkesdale Mac 14
6.HENDERSON, Scott Lismore Derri 13
7.TUCKER, Richard Tatyoon 13
8.MAKEPEACE, Benjamin Caramut 12
9.MATTHEWS, Frank Hawkesdale Mac 12
10.BARR, Lachlan Caramut 11
Should be interesting as Jahn Knight from Lismore Derri is on top thus far and was heavily tagged later in the year. As for not being able to beat Glen at Glen, I thought the Demons easily accounted for them.
Obviously finals will be tough for the Demons, but at least they are in there having a crack. Also the seconds.

Thats the totals with either three or four rounds to go.

So you should beat Glen at Glen if you aspire to play any part in the finals.
As for being easy, well i'm not sure about that.......7 points in it at 3/4 time, but unfortunately for the Rams they had no bench from half way through the third and the Demons finished to well.

Good luck to the boys during the finals, and hopefully young pembo has a good final series.
