dont know wat you two are talking about but pretty sure the taty posters have said all along they'd be rite there come finals time...

wats the word on frankie bloods? definetly back this week or are hawkesdale just really hoping he is? seems a bit stupid to play him against worndoo if hes about ready, especially with the 1st week of finals off...

how much will hawkesdales 2s struggle if they dont finish on top? assuming there would be a few over qualified...

I know the Taty boys have known they would be round the mark come finals time (injury depending of course)....all a bit of friendly banter thats all 'lose'.

Apparently Frankie will play this week.....ready to go is the word....keen to get the 100 out of the road, rather than it hang over his head during the finals. You will probably find that if he gets them early against Woor-Mort he will come off the ground pronto.
I would err on the side of caution and give him another two weeks though!

Hawk-Mac twos won't struggle at all.....in fact they will be stronger for the first week if they don't finish top.
Their seniors have had a couple of injuries and rested up a couple in recent weeks, so three or four regular ressies have been up in the seniors.
The likes of Rob Jelbart, Brett Tanner, Simon Sharrock will come back from the ones.....and also Josh Reichman is eligible to play as he will only have played 8 seniors (he has played 2 ressies to qual).
Interestingly Peter Jelbart has played 9 seniors to date (and 3 ressies).....a rest this week from seniors would leave him available.....but surely their direction would be the senior flag. Who knows?
Otherwise they have managed their list well, with the likes of Jeremy Hausler, Ben Julius, Simon Poynton not being over-qual for the twos.

Hey guys, i have just been speaking to a bloke from woorndoo - mortlake, and his looking at getting a few boys down from ballarat way. was just wondering what the quality of football is in MDFL and what the grounds and facilities are like? also, whats woorndoo-mortlake club like?

The club is awesome.. has a fantastic atmosphere and social side to it. They have been really down on their luck this year, and last year for that matter. Looked to have a pretty competitive side at the begining of the year, but had 4 major injuries in the first game, and it only went downhill from there.
However there is a bunch of great, dedicated people behind the club, who are working hard to ensure that next year is better, hence the fact that you have already been contacted!
The woorndoo ground is a bit small, but maintained like it is the MCG! :)

The coaching appointment is credible.
I stayed for a few beers after the Rams played last week against the Pies, and before they did their daily awards, Scott Cameron (Pres) announced that Leo had been appointed for 2009.Mick Jennings endorsed his appointment and urged all the young blokes to get behind him.

Any other news on the 2009 coaching front Bloods ? Given that Penshurst couldn't find a coach for 2008 and Jumbo agreed to coach Glen-Dunkeld for one more year, I assume both of these clubs will be on the hunt ? No doubt the Bombers will be ringing the Ewings again ! Will the Rams convince Jenkinson to do it again ?

Not sure about penshurst, but no doubt they will track the ewings.

As for the rams, well the committee decided to tell jumbo two weeks ago, they wanted to go in a new direction and after a new coach.
Great timing, not, considering the boys are playing for fifth spot against Lismore-Derrinallum this week.
No consultation with the football department about what direction they were taking, just told him they were looking elsewhere.
The show is run by a pack of geese with not half a footy brain between the lot of them......as for women on footy club committees, well f--- me!

Needless to say Jumbo was keen to go again, considering his & the recruiters approach was to blood youngsters and recruit the same, in approach that was to build a base over a couple of years to set up the future.

Anyway let's see how they go getting a coach over the next couple of months, otherwise there may well be a big revolt at the AGM, with a bit of blood spilt.

Heard about this Bloods, ridiculous to be telling both your senior and reserves coach that their services are no longer required whilst the club is battling for a finals berth!!
The news i hear is that the club is going with a 'youth policy', has someone stopped to tell these moron's that youth needs experienced heads around it to guide along the way??
I would have thought keeping a few experienced blokes around and looking to build on the development of the younger guys wud be the way to go down at Glen?
Poor form and poor timing by the Rams (whoever it was) and it certainly wont help them make the finals!!

Spot on Bumbles!

A complete un-educated, idiotic decision by a group on the committee that thought change was needed for no other reason than that.

Don't worry, it has stirred the emotions of plenty of supporters, and I think this committee will want to have plenty in place soon, or else some heads will roll come AGM time.

They will look stupid if the Rams get over LD this week and make the finals, but regardless of that result, some big steps have been taken to form a solid future based on youth.

Jumbo has been rail-roaded, by a pack of two-faced arseholes!

well by tunds of all that bloods you wouldn't want to be lismore this week up against a very firey rams outfit you would expect after their legend has obviously copped a good kicking...
and with the crap lismore dished up against taty last week and then going back to their snipping ways in the last quarter the rams are in with a massive chance...

the last thing im sure the rams need bloods is friction as it seems theyve had their fair share ever since the merger anyway...

I will shout you into the GF at Bolac if LD finish higher than MW at year's end Dragon........and vice versa!

How does that hit ya!

Geez Bloods, had no idea I was opening up such a can of worms ! Agree the timing doesn't seem right but not the ideal way to air the clubs dirty laundry for all to see...spoke to someone down that way yesterday and they suggested the players had been consulted in the process...

Might be just coincidence but trouble seems to follow Jenkinson...

a handful of older players were asked and they couldn't get a kick in a barnyard.

ask any of the younger brigade and they are fine.

jumbo has been no trouble here, one of the harder working coaches on and off the field you could get.

as for airing dirty laundry.....the committees digging their own hole w/o help from me.

ill admit there is a chance m/w can still finish above l/d.
but i guess you just have to back the dees and hope they find a bita form this weekend to lead into finals.
all the stuff happening at g/d has the possibility to work both ways, positive or negative.

Good onya Dragon, stick with the Dees.
Don't go all silent like those Taty crew when things aint lookin so good.
Dragon, haven't heard what's happening with Neil Kelly but from the games I saw he just didn't look healthy. The Demons continue to battle along and have done well to get where they are.

i have no idea about kelly noodles. but apparently he had menengitas for a while there. about his coaching career, i think it rests on how the dees go this year, the sides average age isnt getting any younger.

Milne is playing seniors. Wouldnt have gained anything by playing twos in the last round. Tough decision to include him into the ones. But the right decision.

No one has missed out yet. Due to Rich Tucker and Darren Beer and Tim McDougall still being out of the side. It will be finals time before someone misses out. Going to be some tough decisions down at taty over next few weeks

McDougall played two's last week, surely he will be in the side this week?
Wats happened with Tucker and Beer?
Must have been injured on the weekend were they?
Haven't heard any news on this as yet...

McDougall isnt match fit played well last week though. Body still a bit sore.
Beer and Tucker had minor injuries which should be only 1 week off each. Finals taty should be at full strenght. So 2 or 3 will miss out from this weeks side.
