Reds with some shocking pitching to let Cubs back into game thanks to a Russell 3 run homer in the 8th. Man i want to go to Wrigley Field

Then fly on over! I've actually met up with a couple of BF posters at Wrigley. Back in 2009 I went to 38 games, but my caregiving responsibilities don't allow me to go as often now. I am going with my brother to a White Sox game and a Cardinals game at Wrigley this summer and a White Sox/Cubs game at the Cell also. Went to the game last season when the Cubs lost the NL pennant to the Mets at Wrigley. At least I was able to see a team clinch the pennant. Just the wrong damn team! :(

I've been to a few Opening Days, but last night would have been electric.

Yeah i am going to have too, unfortunately i coach a footy club over here so has to be mid late September but this year i might just do that.. Whats the atmosphere like at the White Sox in comparison

Watch the Rangers ;)

I might just do that seeing as it starts in an hour. I'm watching Marlins/Mets right now, it's in the 7th and unless it goes to extra innings (1-1 atm) it should be over before the Rangers game. :)

Marlins Man is at this game and he's sitting everywhere behind home plate it seems lol.

A's blow both feet off with a soul-crushing collapse against the Angels this afternoon. A's led the Angels 4-1 at the end of the seventh inning, then Ryan Madson came in to relieve John Axford (who pitched a hitless seventh inning) in the top of the eighth. Madson gave up three hits, comprising two singles to Escobar and Nava, and then Pujols doubled in both of them.

The A's couldn't score in the bottom of the eighth. Sean Doolittle came on as the closer in the top of the ninth. He got Simmons to fly out, then walked Cron (pinch-hitting for C.J. Choi). Then Soto hammered a 93mph fastball to centre, scoring himself and Gentry (on to pinch-run for Cron).

That put the Angels up 5-4 heading into the bottom of the ninth.

Crisp fouled out to the short-stop. Lowrie flied out to centre. Vogt grounded out to the short-stop.

FMD.

Do you guys have MLB.tv? I'm thinking of getting it for the Stros.

Can't live without it. Between that and radio I get 162 games in a year, much to the annoyance of the Mrs when I'm wandering through town or at family events with an earphone in!

Plus it's now ended up on my smart TV. I don't know how, I didn't put it there, but ****ing awesome!

I watch a lot of Adam Duncan's MLB stuff on YouTube, this video came up as suggested viewing.
Amazing the effort that goes into making a baseball.

**** me! After all that and they just let people take foul balls home!?! Being a sewer looks like a fun job though :drunk:

John Lackey has had an absolutely brutal start to the year. He loaded the bases with no outs and was very fortunate to escape the 1st with a 1-0 deficit. He might not get 14 runs of support like he did his first outing so he needs to improve here.

Edit: Still in the 1st, Cubs lead 5-1, 2 out and 49 pitches thrown. Lackey gets a base hit and the Red pitcher taken out of the game.

Edit 2: It finally came to an end. Cubs lead it 5-1. 12 batters came out on only 4 base hits. The rest were walks. I am loving the plate descpline on this team. Everyone has improved it that respect since last year.

Here I was thinking this game might finish it in time for the Warriors/Grizzlies game to start. At this rate we might only be into the 3rd inning lol.
