I don't give two ****s about the process, all I know is we've signed a middling small forward to a four year contract at age 25, and given up a third round pick for the privilege.

You're going to rave on about this ad nauseam, I've stated my opinion, I'm correct.

I think the calls of 184cm being small is harsh, i would call that on the smaller side of average
Hoping we can give him a fair bit of mid time

wrong. We essentially gave up a 3rd round pick for the right to get a second round pick for chaplin......

We can come back to that when we see what we get.

I think if Monfries can get some time pushing up into the midfield he can rotate that role within games with Gray.

At the moment our other small forward options offer SFA (Brett Ebert doesn't really plays as a crumber).

**** I hope Gray stays fit all of next season.

we are not really that far behind we WILL get a good Mid @7, a kid with a fair bit of potential @28, a Key Back @29 and hopefuly McDonough slips to us late second round. Only loosing Three of the most frustrating footballers to represent the PAFC!

Warm welcome to the Grand Angus!

Good pick up and done the right way. If we can engineer something along the same lines for Russell (i.e. no FA) I reckon we would've done alright this year. Hey they could both end up being Cameron Cloke scale failures or Schulz like wins, only time will tell.

One thing is certain though and that is we needed to take a calculated risk on a mature player or two this year. The Primus youth policy was lacking and I think getting a couple of older heads will do the group good overall.

In Hink we trust.

My question has always been that do we want him because he's a good fit for our side, or do we want him just because we can? His 2012 stats don't look that flash.

Oh well. Best of luck to him, as he's a Power player now.

See that's the problem with stats. He was playing as a defensive forward, so 15 touches and a goal per game is actually a decent return when sacrificing your game for the team.

pick 48 could be replaced in 2 years, and his list spot made available for rookie pick #7 that came on. Or a new draftee in 2014.

Long contracts burn us regularly.

You do know this is Port we are talking about?

rookie picks coming on, lol. Cupboard has been pretty bare on that front in recent years.

True. I'm also assuming he was the sub for a few games, but wasn't sure which games.

Well how did you rate his shutdown work then? Bear in mind that the trade has already been done, so you can give us your true opinion. :p

Also looks like he likes playing Richmond too.

No, it will go in the "Credit to someone else" column.
The Adelaide media will surely give the credit to Sturt.

Can we leave the bitching and moaning until then also, your incessant whinging is getting my goat.

Have we not endured enough negativity?
Portia, Ms Negativity 2012.

I think I preferred Portia when she had a #$@%.

His stats wern't crash hot in 2012 as we used him as a defensive forward for the majority of the season, which he did well. I feel you'll get more from him though if you let him play a more attacking role. It comes more natural to him and usually bobs up for a couple of goals a match.

I hope he works out for you, as you wouldn't find a nicer bloke.
