The two things are not mutually exclusiveMaybe so, but he is also a doctor
The guy is a tit - you're surprised he was wrong?
This would probably offset the reasons behind why he decided to do it in the 1st place. when done next week, 3 months will be mid/late April. With a full AFL season ahead he's no doubt aiming to get back to playing midway through the year. Who knows though, as Bond said - they're not putting a time frame on his return so we'll have to wait eagerly to see how he progresses.i think LARS is a good idea. however his recovery period should be extended till late season/finals and both 100% physically and mentally.
Well doctors are only human after all, they don't know everything...he was simply giving his opinion backed up with evidence...

Jeezus, he could realistically be back on the spin bikes 2 weeks from today.
Larkins didnt really say anything that was earth shattering - all pretty much generally accepted comments.
Mora's undergoing a Lars

Morabito's Dad said:“He was pretty close (to retirement), but he made the decision to play on, we didn’t push him into it.
“I just told him whatever he wants to do, the decision was his. He had to be happy with it and not make a decision to please anyone.
meaning he managed to stay at uni for some time and answer questions some other 'doctor' deemed correct. Yep! trust him implicitly.Maybe so, but he is also a doctor

Medicine is a pretty grey field, it's not maths.
Medicine is a pretty grey field, it's not maths.
It is a science, the practical application of maths. The issue with medical diagnosis and treatment has always been information, patients want a simple answer to an ultimately simple problem but only providing a small amount of details. Larkins is expected to take a guess at an injury while observing a limp and reading his experience as to what other players with THAT limp had. The poor guy doesn't stand a chance.
r.
I put it to you that with all the information, a doctor would always get it right because they would have punched the data into the computer. Building a scanner that will capture your entire physical condition will be the biggest advancement in human kind since nuclear power.
Except that we don't fully understand all diseases. And diseases do not manifest the same way in every person. And Doctors are human and capable of making mistakes.
The human body is not a machine and cannot be treated effectively if it is regarded as such.
We will have to agree to disagree on this point. I believe everything happens for a reason, even if that reason escapes me for the rest of my life - mechanically and biologically that is.
The poor guy shouldn't be taking money from channel 7 to make uninformed guesses about people who've never been his patients. He's a disgrace to doctors everywhere.
He just said he wouldn't recommend mora getting LARS because it will be his third and for it to work effectively there needs to be adequate native tissue. Simply stating what research has shown.
