Yes he was innovative in many ways. Man of few words, let his actions do the talking.Polly hands down
By the way, I rate very highly rucks who are able to run the length of ground, backline to forwardline, helping out in both area.

Absolute gentleman from everything i seen of him. His handball was revolutionary for a ruckmanYes he was innovative in many ways. Man of few words, let his actions do the talking.

That's great, but I never said he was better than any of them, or even anyone....There have been better rucks than Nic Nat, maybe you haven’t seen them play.
Polly, Maddern, Moss, TI etc.
Fort just proved what we already knew - Rucks are over rated. All you need is someone who competes, if they can take marks even better.
Fort didn't "smash" Grundy, he broke even and that's all he needed to do.
FactsSwans lose a game and all of a sudden they have a heap of overrated players, what a load of crap. It’s one game.
Cripps had a broken rib in the 2023 finals series
Charlie had a bung ankle
Didn't stop fans piling on both of them, rightfully so - as soon as you step on the field you're fit and open to scrutiny
Everyone was shorter back thenToo short for today’s game. Jack Riewoldt is taller for reference.
Undoubtedly the greatest legacy for a ruckman though.
Wardlaw is not going to be a star.Good young player but the way they talk about Wardlaw I just do not see, he seems like a Viney is his ceiling but they talk like he is Judd.
Hopefully, his body gets right so he can at least have a chance to prove himself one way or another.Wardlaw is not going to be a star.
Yes, I do hope so as well, can be a very solid player I see him as a Callan Ward.Hopefully, his body gets right so he can at least have a chance to prove himself one way or another.

Adam Cerra says hiLuke Jackson would have to be up there. Sold for a fortune, for not much output.
Geez …. That’s a high bar.Yes, I do hope so as well, can be a very solid player I see him as a Callan Ward.
He was all Australian squad right?Luke Jackson would have to be up there. Sold for a fortune, for not much output.
I can’t work out if this is sarcasm?Geez …. That’s a high bar.
lol …. It’s not. Cal is a very high bar to setI can’t work out if this is sarcasm?
Adam "Judas" Cerra .Adam Cerra says hi
Yeah he has had a great career but would be under the hype that Wardlaw has received.lol …. It’s not. Cal is a very high bar to set
Lots of hype during his prime … he’s just a solid contributor these days though and his career is overlooked a bitYeah he has had a great career but would be under the hype that Wardlaw has received.
Has all the attributes to be a star. The only thing holding him back would be injuriesWardlaw is not going to be a star.
Kangas took a punt with his hamstring history before the draft. Only 20 going into his 3rd year and contracted atm to end of 2026. To quote Shakespeare, “The spirit is willing, but thy hamstrings are weak”. We hope he and the medical team are leaving no stone unturned for him to realize his potential. Some head knocks last year (in training) and just no consistency in games. This thread should have a caveat of at least 3 years in the system to determine how overrated (or not) each player is IMHO.Has all the attributes to be a star.
