TIMELINE

Thursday 16 February:
Service revolver obtained for user pays event. Was stored at mother's as per regulations.

Sunday 19 February: User pays event.

Monday 20 February: The murders at Baird's Paddington rental.

Monday 19 February: Police have alleged gunshots were heard from a house in Paddington, Sydney in the morning. Four minutes after the first shots were fired there was a 000 call made from Jessie's phone around 9.45am, but it disconnected. Police said there was "no communication" during that call.

Monday evening: Police have alleged Lamarre-Condon hired a white Hiace van from Sydney Airport.

Tuesday 20 February: Police have alleged that partial admissions were made by Lamarre-Condon to an acquaintance of having been involved in the death of two individuals.

Service revolver was returned to Balmain & later transferred to original storage.

Wednesday 21 February: Bloodied clothing belonging to both victims and an $8000 watch were found in a skip bin in the southern Sydney suburb of Cronulla. Police launch a missing persons investigation and the homicide unit is notified

Later same Wednesday: Police have alleged Lamarre-Condon attended the Bungonia area with an acquaintance who police believed assisted him in purchasing an angle grinder and padlock from a local hardware store in that area, before driving to a rural property in Bungonia.

Police said the "small" angle grinder was used to sever a padlock from the gate of that particular rural property and then that padlock was replaced with a padlock purchased from the hardware store.

The acquaintance was left at the top of the property for 30 minutes. The accused disappeared for that period in the Hiace van, returning to pick up the acquaintance and then they returned to Sydney later that afternoon. Police said the acquaintance was assisting them in their inquiries, that she is not a suspect, and they believe she was an "innocent agent".

Wednesday 11pm: Police have said that evening, weights were purchased from a department store by the accused and it is believed that the accused returned to that rural property overnight and during that evening, having also acquired two torches from the acquaintance.

Thursday 22 February: Police have alleged they can place the accused leaving the Bungonia area again at 4.30am. "It would appear that the accused has remained in the city area, still in control of the white Hiace van, before attending a further acquaintance's premises in the Newcastle area and without fully disclosing any criminality, asked access to a hose to clean that van," Hudson said.

Friday 23 February: At 10.39am, Lamarre-Condon presents himself at Bondi Police Station where he was arrested and subsequently charged.

Check this out published this evening as an up date to the article below:

"Police sent a patrol car searching for the source of a triple-zero call that was made from the mobile phone of Luke Davies at 9.54am last Monday – four minutes after gunshots were allegedly heard in the Paddington terrace where Davies’ boyfriend Jesse Baird lived.
But that phone was disconnected without any communication, and because it was registered to Davies’ home in Waterloo, the police tasked with “concern for welfare” job patrolled Paddington but with no specific information to go on. The phone’s signal was triangulated to the suburb, without an exact location............."

The article goes on to say (about the 000)
'Deputy Commissioner David Hudson said police had not determined whether the triple-zero call was made by Davies.
“I’d rather investigate than speculate,” he said. “It will form part of the ongoing investigation.”

...
He then travelled to the city again before driving the van to an acquaintance in Newcastle on Thursday, where he asked for a hose to clean the vehicle
....'

Noting that the Newcastle person re borrowing the hose is described as an acquaintance (and not a family member).

Something doesn't add up here
That's probably because Senior Constable Renee Fortuna appears to have been the Newcastle acquaintance re borrowing the hose (only), and not the different one (also female) that the accused went with to the Southern Highlands.

So in this information that the police did send out a car on the 000 call was not in the press conference.

Perhaps the police were already onto him early on and she was working for them?
In which case, Police would have been tailing him physically all the way in his van and know where the bodies are as a result of this.
So I say your theory this theory is probably not valid.

Yep.

I thought that Hudson said that the call was made from Jesse's mobile (and not Lukes)?

That is what they are sumising...that she was a plant.
Certainly a theory worth considering.
You'd hope NSW Police would try something like this.
And that the accused is probably foolish enough to fall for something like this.

Let's see if the media or Police clarify this further to settle the argument.

This is 2021...3 years ago. I
t has been stated that the sister is the ex-police in Newcastle.
This just might be how they know each other you realise.

That is what that person is saying. It is not my quote and I have identified now that it is not.
I didn't say you did. I merely replied to the post.

And for what it's worth, I think it's a ludicrous suggestion the police would 'plant' someone in that situation with a dangerous double murderer driving around in a van with 2 bodies in the back of it.

If they knew it was him & where he was, they would have put a tracker on the van & follow him themselves & not have so many gaps in the timeline & his whereabouts.

Then why is the SMH tonight referring to the Newcastle person he asked for a hose described as an acquaintance (and not a family member)?

Perhaps there are 2 Newcastle people he visited?

Where is Renee based now then? Possibly still in Newcastle?

Trusting the accuracy of media reporting is risky business.

No but it's because you have the old post attached, before I made it clear that it was not my comment by putting in the quotation marks. So just being clear here.

Don't know if it's the case or not but I don't find it that ludicrous.
She was police so it's not like she's little Mary from down the road.

She might have volunteered...you never know.

I was thinking that too.

Especially with him being armed with an Angle Grinder, weights and a padlock (no taser or gun with him anymore I assume)

Exactly. They've got it wrong before. So who knows.

I remember it being Jesse’s phone too.
So it looks like we either have Hudson or the SMH getting their facts wrong today.

Hudson might have been provided the wrong info by someone.

You just don't get that I am thinking about is what his lawyer would be presenting in court.
'The story'
That's how lawyers work...they present a story.
And that I think presumptions can be dangerous.
So please spare me your interpretations.
I understand exactly what has been revealed, said, have watched the press conference live, printed etc.
I am across the lot believe you me.
Please stop patronising me.
If you can't step away from your dogmatic misunderstanding of where I am coming from and what I have said, you are just wasting your and my time.
I guess he tries to say it was a murder suicide of the couple , even if bodies are never found I doubt he gets away with it.

The following article somewhat clears up some confusion about the identity of friends and acquaintances reported to have unwittingly being dragged/tricked into helping out the accused in Newcastle (the borrowed hose) and Southern Highlands related.

'Jesse Baird, Luke Davies alleged double murder: Police officer identified as the acquaintance who allegedly let Beau Lamarre-Condon borrow a hose to clean rented van'

...
His acquaintance, a fellow cop, has fled her Newcastle home
By LUCY MANLY IN LAMBTON FOR DAILY MAIL AUSTRALIA
...
PUBLISHED: 22:16 AEDT, 26 February 2024 | UPDATED: 22:19 AEDT, 26 February 2024

One of the acquaintances who unwittingly helped NSW Police officer Beau Lamarre-Condon after he allegedly murdered two men is a fellow cop.
...
One of the alleged crime scenes, established on Saturday, is at a residential property on Karoola Road in the Newcastle suburb of Lambton.

Daily Mail Australia visited the site on Monday afternoon, where a vehicle belonging to an acquaintance of Lamarre-Condon sits covered in fingerprint dust after being examined by forensic specialists.

That acquaintance was identified by 7News on Monday evening as fellow cop Renee Fortuna.
...
A neighbour said Ms Fortuna had not returned to her home in the wake of the police raid, even leaving behind her fingerprint dust-strewn vehicle.

Police alleged in a press conference on Monday that Ms Fortuna had let Lamarre-Condon borrow her hose to clean the inside of his Toyota HiAce van, which he had rented from Sydney Airport.

There is no suggestion whatsoever Ms Fortuna knew what Lamarre-Condon had allegedly done or was involved in any criminal act.

Former homicide detective Charlie Bezzina said the fingerprint powder on the car would have been used to find fingerprints belonging to the suspect or the deceased.
...
Divers searched for 'items of interest' at two dams on Hazelton Road, about 35km south of Goulburn, after intelligence placed accused murder Lamarre-Condon at the rural spot last week and revelations from the police commissioner on Monday that he brought along a female acquaintance.

That acquaintance, police said, was an 'innocent party' and was unaware of Lamarre-Condon's alleged crime, and was cooperating with police.

'The acquaintance is not a suspect in this matter. We believe she was an innocent agent,' he said.

'We believe potentially through a former relationship of his, he was connected to that property in some way.'

Samantha Murphy & this murder?

At least one woman is murdered a week in Australia by an ex/partner..but sadly they don't get much media coverage.
During the investigation of ms Murphy there was a murder suicide. You also have the elderly lady stabbed recently.

Does anyone else find it odd that the police are releasing so much information/evidence in this particular case? They usually hold their cards close to their chests and pretty much just give the bare minimum until it goes to trial which is when we find out the details. However with this case, they are giving daily updates, pressers and basically running a live commentary as the investigation unfolds. I can't think of another case where we had so much information so soon...
