In making his latest century Andy Flintoff smashed a few sixes, one of which was hoiked way over midwicket & into the top tier of the stand where a middle aged man stood up as the ball came straight to him & tried to catch it, unfortunatley making a mess of a reasonably good chance.

The man was Andy Flintoff's dad.

He thinks is son picked him out on purpose.:D

pretty good managing to pick out your dad on the full with a six on a ground like that!

not a bad effort by him

I've since read that when Clayton Lambert made his 1 day debut for the Windies versus England in 1990 he told his mate sat at long on that he'd hit a 6 to him, so after he'd played himself in & scored a few he did just that.:D

Better now that the shoe is on the other foot.

how is it unique when its been done b4?? :p

That is amazing, but not as funny as earlier in the season when 10 minutes of play was lost at Lords NZ Test due to the ball hitting the boundary rope, jumping the fence, and ending up in a blokes pint of beer.
