AFL Multicultural Round

Be a part of our Multicultural Round this weekend!

Many cultures make our great game and during round 17 we are highlighting not only the diverse cultures in AFL but the changing face of Australia.

Hopefully we get good weather for the walk!

This could well be the beginnings of the walk posters were calling for awhile ago. It has to start somewhere and, given last week's debacle, this week's a perfect time to start.

Another great initiative by the club. :thumbsu:

I'm walking - looking forward to it actually - my earliest Arden St memories involve Dad looking for the car in surrounding streets (in the days before the advent of the booze bus put an end to his 'memory loss').

This sounds like a great idea! A chance for all North fans to come together and enjoy a day at the footy with a difference.
I'm sure it will be a great atmosphere among the faithful during the walk.
If I were in Melbourne I'd get along for sure....I hope all the Melbourne-based fans make an effort to get there on the day.
Kudos to those who organised, let's make sure all North fans get behind it and it can become an annual event perhaps!

Brilliant idea. Maybe we can have a nice little chat on the walk. Starting with future captaincy, moving through the Brady Rawlings dilemma, and then finishing with Lindsay Thomas' kicking action. We may even have time to talk carbon tax and ethics in journalism.

I'll wave from the bar of the Railway Hotel as you all walk by.

I might even have a pot in your honor.

Soft.

I'll be nipping into the Railway (your shout!) then having a cheeky sharpener at the old Moomba then one at the Royal Mail and a quickie at The Spencer.

not sure if i'm blind and can't see it, but what time is the walk actually starting?

I lasted up until the North Melbourne Train Station. Then I left the group and ended up at one of the local pubs because quite frankly I'm a drunk. :stern look

I can confirm that there was roughly 300 people that took part in the walk because I'm good at estimating crowds. :stern look

Was great. Whoever number 14 was for the guys wearing the traditional jumpers needs to be nurtured by the club: looks a real goer.
