Lowe, Clements and Fulton to spreyton. Troy dean to Forth, Jacob Wiggers to Turners Beach, Crowden moving Interstate, Brent Sheehan going VFL Melbourne. Devonport pushing shit up hill big time.

Also heard Latrobe are looking at joining NTFA, not sure how true this one is, Jeremy Smith from Dport another one I heard linked to spreyton, The tip rats must have some money out there, A bit like wesley vale this year, buying a premiership buy the sounds of it.
And i just read on the Darwin site that Wynyard are planning on moving to the darwin? Is there going to be an NTFL next year?? and if so what would it be like?

Thats good Big H. I assume that you have coached a premeriship side in the NTFL then champ??????? Reckon he did a good job transforming the Dev side that was left after Max f*cked it up.

Why is it that what ever i post is attacked? This is not a shot at Perry at all, just making the point that Ulverstone will win every north west premiership from now to the year dot. Suprised that Max isn't trying to cling on as he would have been able to do likewise.

And no i haven't coached an ntfl side to a premiership, but have coached pretty successfully in other areas and many of the players i have developed have gone onto bigger and better things.

lol cant see that happening. They would turn their bad year around thats for sure!

Wynyard in the Darwin? They've been struggling but that is ridiculous. Don't know whether the quote is designed to suck people in, or if the person that intially posted it is still talking out their rectum.

What do the cats need to do to improve?

first of all , when the final siren sounds they need to have more points than the other team.

thats a start.

maybe the darwin is a good option, get a winning culture back around the place.
must be hard fronting up every week knowing that your no chance of winning, though i think scotty matherson has made some real in roads with east dev this year, maybe taking something away from how he approached the train wreck at girdelstone will help with the future of the cats??????

I'm not sure where to post info about L'ton teams now, but i did notice this morning a bunch of about a dozen players out together for a run. Obviously winning the last 3 premierships hasn't dented their comittment for next season.

Maybe you should write your statements a little clearer Big H and not make them so ambiguous, so people can take them in many different ways. I'm sorry for taking it the wrong way but it appears more than one thought the same thing.

The Wynyard "Old School" will not allow this to happen, they will not listen to reason over there sometimes

It's true, Geoff Squib left him for anther man. Not go times for old Ian. First the Premiership was lost to a statewide club, then his beloved Ulverstone turned on him, Now Squibby has left him.

Eggs Bourn to coach Devonport, done deal. Plappy to coach burnie, both to be announced within the week.

Chalky Grey to steal another jumper.
Chalky only has a "LEND" of jumpers !and he is Black anyway !

Does anyone know if the SWL is actully all systems go yet?? Pre-seasoarts in about 3 weeks but know one is going to turn up if they dont know what leauge they are in.

Didnt you play there once Chalky?
I think he did, went there when Germo sacked from the Dockers in 96, he went with a heap from Burnie with Bullfrog Johnstone as coach , thats why I know they will not listen and learn over thereHave a look at their history of Coaches-Bullfrog, David Russell, Mark Radford/Ali Bourn/Grey, Keeling, Colin Robertson, Robbie Wright, Paul Atkins, Wish-all have played and been around at good levels, something amiss over there !Ox will be good if given a fair chance

.... Your dead right.... Too many chiefs and not enough indians.

Ox will be pushing it up hill as the core of the playing group think they are a little better than what they actually are. Need to put a strong emphasis on getting a couple of 'quality players' who are strong leaders who can assist in developing some of the kids. But as it stands at the minute he hasn't got any cattle to play with.

The hierarchy there have no idea. They think their still in the eighties.

What the club should do in a lot of peoples opinions is to appoint a Quality playing coach who can run the bar that they have, I hear its quiet good, admin work and junior development and that way they could pay that person a few extra dollars on top of the normal coaches wage. If you look at burnie when they've had their quality coaches; Mcgaune, german and plapp, they have done admin work for the club to justify a few extra dollars. This also would escape the drama of the so called salary cap.

In getting a High profile person people will want to come and play there.

Ox seems like a top fella and speaks really well but he probably isn't best suited for the job, he would probably agree from what I've heard too.

I just hope they can improve and make the comp a little more even

Yeah The've done well.... I think the cats would like to get sharman back in the future as a possible coach...... From what I've heard they'd need a bank oan, doesn't play for nothing. Likes the $$$$$$

From what i saw of Bakes he was pretty lucky to be in that Launceston side.

Was he injured prior to the GF?

The boys along the coast say he could of been a superstar at cricket / footy / athletics.... Just didn't know which one to concentrate on!!!

Afreak sportsmen and a bit of a different unit to go with it from all reports

20-game roster considered
By TERRY MORRIS
THE NTFL is considering a 20-game roster and representative games against both the NTFA and SFL in 2009.
The league is faced with the prospect of having just six clubs following the defection of Burnie, Devonport, Launceston, South Launceston and the Northern Bombers to the State competition.
The Northern Bombers and South Launceston officially resigned from the NTFL on Tuesday night although nothing was heard from the other three clubs.
The six remaining NTFL clubs met this week determined to make the best of what is available for them next season.
A player points system, designed to make the competition a morelevel playing field, has taken a step closer to being implemented.
A similar points system has been used successfully in country Victoria.
Next year will be the first time the NTFL has played both the NTFA and the SFL in the one season if the proposal comes off.
With the NTFL agreeing to continue its involvement with the Australian Amateur Football Council the representative games are likely to be held before a team is picked to represent Tasmania.
This year a team, known as Football North, played against Western Australia at the Devon-port Oval. It is hoped that the SFL will come on board in 2009 and have players available for the Tasmanian team to travel to Adelaide and in 2010 Tasmania is due to host Victoria under the AAFC's triennial series.

Thanks for posting that Roorat, I don't think anyone gives a toss. And as for Terry Morris saying a team known as Football North played Western Australia, him and all his journo mates were calling it the tasmanian side, as were ian and his band of merry men. Plus they wore the map on the front, what a joke.

Don't give a toss about what Ball N Chain? The NTFL or Terry Morris and his disjointed reporting?
