Why are we playing at Norwood and the Crows playing at Port Lincoln? Would make so much more sense the other way around. We have far more connection to Port Lincoln than they do (used to be our zone, the Burgoynes/Wagner/I think Pickett are from there) and I'm sure there are a lot more Norwood/Crows fans than Norwood/Port fans.
I believe the club requested it, wanting to connect with supporters in the eastern suburbs...like me, although I'm away over the long weekend and won't be able to watch the stream either :(

I'd run out a team something like this .
F. Neade Butcher Harvey
H.F Ah Chee Shaw Young
C. Polec Wines Moore
H.B Pittard Clurey Krakoer
B . Impey Hombsch Broadbent
R .Lobbe , Ebert Mitchell
Int Amon , Stewart Wagner , O'Shea

Not the best 22 by any means but a good hit out for the second tier players , let Moore , Young , Clurey , Hombsch and Mitchell the chance to step up . Give Butch , Harvey , Shaw a chance to shine . Pity we haven't got another ruckman available so Lobbe could have a break

Hombsch is not second tier. He is a walk up start in our team.

So what are we hoping to see at Port Adelaides traditional home ground of Coopers Stadium on The Parade?

Do we tank like we did last year in NAB 1 vs the Crows, and play as many youngsters as possible?

Or do we try and get our first team in action as much as possible knowing that its such a huge and crucial opening month of the season?

Is that Norwood's stadium?

Hinkley confirmed on 5aa on Friday we would only play our full strength team in the last week. First game will be magpies players, indigenous academy players and Jarrad Redden.

Jarrad has his own category? :)

Magpies and academy listed players will not play in the NAB Challenge as they're not on the AFL list...and we only have 2 players being investigated by ASADA :p

Nicks to handle senior coaching duties during first two NAB Challenge games

KEN Hinkley will step away from his usual seat in the coaching box for Port Adelaide's first two NAB Challenge games and instead allow the Power's defence coach Matthew Nicks to act as senior.

Nicks, 39, has been the Power's defensive coach since 2013 and will act as senior coach for the Power's games against West Coast and Richmond over the next fortnight.

Hinkley believes giving Nicks oversight of the team will benefit both his playing group and coaching panel on the eve of the 2015 home-and-away seaso

Even the young coaches get a gig NAB challenge!

Could possibly let Redden Westoff and Butch share ruck duty? Maybe Ollie plays forward Moore and Young spend more time in the middle?

Mitch Harvey would surely fill any major ruck voids over preseason. Better to give him some experience then risk Westy and other utilities in there.
I'd expect Lobbe rucks 3/4 of game 1, none of game 2, and a full game in game 3. Redden to help out in game 2 with Harvey.

And my 6 year old son wouldn't have come home from school with this! image.jpg
Not that I'm worried about him changing his allegiance or anything.
There should be laws against this sort of child abuse especially in a government run institution FFS!:p

Ahh the days of school visits! I remember when I was about 8, Stewart Dew came to my school & tried to get all the kids in my class to sing the PA song.. Pretty much I was the only one who knew it. Haha.

How nice of the West Lakes mob to supply free toilet paper to kids.
