Yep, a bloody disgrace. Given the whole carnival is now based on being an AFL Grand Final curtain raiser the game needs to played as one. The kids would have looked forward to this for 10 weeks since qualifying and then have it taken away from them. The MCG is an amazing draining ground and it hasn't rained at all this morning. Could have played them at the MCG. We're too precious about surfaces now.

Full credit to both teams who won, particularly Vic Country. The new format isn't ideal, Country beat SA in the real carnival, in the past that would have been good enough to take out the title. But that counted for zilch yesterday and the guys have had to wait and work hard for 10 weeks.

Hey guys didn't know where else to post this, just thought it would apply to to boys in this championship. I was wondering whats the rules regarding drafting age?

For example for a player in these championships (born in 1993) could they be drafted in the 2010 draft if there were born in January for example?

The players born in 1993 cannot be drafted until the draft at the end of 2011. Some maybe able to go to West Sydney at the end of 2010, but I'm not sure on that at this stage.
