^ Probably recorded them while at the game today or got a copy off someone who did. Either that or they have been published on a website already.

Interested to know the opinions of those that watched some of the Div 2 games and saw the game on the weekend.
How far behind will Tassie and NSW/ACT be?
I know we haven't seen WA or SA yet but do the Div 2 sides have a snowflakes chance in hell of causing an upset?

Love how it has been set up this year with games being played as curtain raisers to the AFL and spaced out throughout the year. Fantastic initiative by the AFL

Interesting the different ways people see the game. Gotch was certainly in Metro's best few, their leading possession winner and most of them effective. Trengove's an exiting talent but who was he playing on and how many goals did he kick? Was it Will Young who snagged three? And I have to say your analysis of Hurleys game was shocking in itself. Maybe its just me but he reminds of a under 18 version of Chris Langford and he didn't give his opponents a sniff and saved several goals.

Cheers ChipDouglas welcome your reply. Well noted about different views, it is amazing what people see isn't it. even the pro's see different views I suppose. However I can't stress enough that Hurles was IMO below his "lofty" (meaning fantastic) standard on the day. Nothing bad & did not mean to sound negative, just not his best I have seen him play. He is definate gun. Trengove did not actiually play on Will Young. His opponents were John Butcher, Josh Gaylor and Ryan McKenzie. Will Young's man was Matt Kilpin. You are correct with Gotch leading the possies, however from memory he did play on Tommy Rockliff for parts and he also had 4 goals I think, so maybe I viewed his game from a different angle? Great points you noted on stats, although I tend to view stats imo are sometimes slightly over rated (Eg; A player could get 40 possies and still not be in the best, remember Greg Williams)
well done though and you must have some inside knowledge I am thinking! Some slight advantage great work. :thumbsu:

This had nothing to do with the under 18 championships, but there is a kid called Blair Cronin who plays for Doutta Stars in the EDFL, 16's Division 1, and has dominated most matches and has been included in the Under 15 EDFL Rep Squad...Some of my mates from school have previously played on him, mind you they are pretty good players as well, said he has got a pretty strong build, quick off the mark and is a goal-kicking midfielder, pretty hard for them to shut him down...Possibly bookmark this post and come back to it in about 3 years, when he is eleigble to be drafted...They said he has participated in Vic Metro's training sessions and the like, didn't go in to real depth after that, but said he may well be one to watch come draft time in around three years...A bit premature to give such positive feedback for a kid, but I thought it'd be good to see where he finishes up in 3 years time, either getting drafted or being overlooked...

Stupid example as whenever a player of Greg Williams' sublime skills had 40 touches he was invariably clear BOG. The one incredible exception being that game in '93 against the Dees when he had 45 possies, kicked 3 goals, set up about 12 others and didn't get a single Brownlow vote!! Cost him yet another Brownlow.

For MickyCrow who was asking, i believe Jordan Roughead is the 'Orange Roughy's' cousin. ;)

Good to see we are playing at the best oval in Sydney?????????
I know a lot of work has been done on this oval but really, the only game this year that the Rams play at home and we go to Henson park. What sought of advert is this to the rest of Oz? Gee I hope the boys play a curtain raiser to an Sydney FL game.
