Knights said fletcher wont play, and the essendonfc website suggests lloyd wont play.

You might be right on Lee will probaly be in instead of charters, i guess i left him out because i really don't rate him. But hey that was me thinking out loud when it came to the team. Just a bit bored to be honest, so wasting some time, and after seeing the game today i'm even more anxious to see some real footy.

Also I think he said in an article that Rama won't play in the 1st round of the NAB Cup.

Winda's Magic, how do you know Stanton and Davey won't be playing?

Hopefully Courtney Johns can kick a bag for us if Lloyd isn't playing. Also I'm looking forward to see Gumby and Windalich play next week, they didn't play in the practice match and hopefully they have improved over the pre-season like most of our players.

So pretty much anyone can win, like the 7 other NAB Cup games.

Although we do owe em one after losing to them by a point the last time we played there in the NAB Cup.
There are plenty of incentives to win. Stay on the better grounds, more intense matches, more experience for the players etc.
Ii hope we have a red hot crack and put in players that are 100% only. No point in throwing in a player that isnt fully fit. Looking forward to seeing Jjohns at FF. Rated him highly a year or so back but quickly hurled myself of the bandwagon. Almost got back on though after hearing his dominance in the practice match. Carn Johns, show me what you are made of mate!

That's not what bandwagons are about. Your sposed to stay on the whole way through thick and thin so if they turn out great, you can say "i told you so".
You can't jump on and off when you want.

So you hadnt jumped of the Kepler Bradley:eek::eek: bandwagon then when he clearly showed himself to be inept as an AFL Footballer?
Meh, ill hop onto the bandwagon again if he gives me reason to do so. I just hope he asserts his position on the team and doesnt continue to dwindle in the ranks. Has talent, a strong body, decent pace, needs confidence and consistency and perhaps most importantly a good fitness base as he certainly struggles in that department.

Yeh you've got a point. I just don't like it when a player comes good and somone claims to have been on the bandwagon since the start when in reality he just jumped on when performance picked up.

What the Hell. It doesn't really matter.

From memory Welsh missed a relatively easy goal that cost us the match.

we really need a list going with the definite outs.

Brown is not playing FWIW.

It seems we will have no Lloyd, Lucas, Fletcher, Gumby, Neagle, and they are missing Brown, Bradshaw & Merrett, so both spines will be inexperienced.

Mal will probably play, but Id say Lee and Johns are specials to be given extended chances at their respective ends. Both are at fork in the road type scenarios for their careers, and unfortunatly both may struggle to find chances at senior level given the make up of the team.

From the looks of things both of us will be missing 10 or so from our best 22's, so definitely a game to see how the youth are shaping up, which is what can only be expected. Apparently they had a bit of a disrupted camp up in FNQ (weather??), so we may come in a little sharper, but who knows.

Can not wait!

Leigh Matthews was on SEN last night, he confirmed Brown will play on Sat night

Matthews went on to say that they have yet to play a full practice match because of the weather and ground conditions. They have only been able to do match simulations.

The weather might be ok, not sure about the ground...
