Pretty strong team named. Would have liked to have seen more of some of the younger players.

WEST COAST v COLLINGWOOD at Patersons Stadium, Sunday, March 3.
WEST COAST:
Mitch Brown, Mark Lecras, Andrew Gaff, Brad Sheppard, Chris Masten, Scott Selwood, Matt Priddis, Luke Shuey, Jamie Cripps, Eric MacKenzie, Josh Kennedy, Dean Cox, Darren Glass, Matt Rosa, Shannon Hurn, Sam Butler, Jack Darling, Ashley Smith, Scott Lycett, Will Schofield, Andrew Embley, Josh Hill, Pat McGinnity, Adam Selwood, Jeremy McGovern, Ashton Hams, Simon Tunbridge.
COLLINGWOOD: Jordan Russell, Nick Maxwell, Harry O’Brien, Martin Clarke, Scott Pendlebury, Jarryd Blair, Jarrod Witts, Jamie Elliott, Ben Reid, Quinten Lynch, Steele Sidebottom, Josh Thomas, Ben Hudson, Ben Kennedy, Ben Sinclair, Travis Cloke, Alan Toovey, Dane Swan, Kyle Martin, Peter Yagmoor, Heath Shaw, Paul Seedsman, Sam Dwyer, Adam Oxley, Jack Frost, Marley Williams, Caolan Mooney.

I live and breathe the mighty WEST COAST but i think drafting morton and dick was a huge mistake . Morton looks very weak and dick was a disastrous flop in the WAFL GF .
Please prove me wrong ! but not happy with these 2 selections in the Mighty WCE nest .
P.s... if Demitriou 's love children ( c/wood ) can remember what a plane is used for then we may see them turn up on Sunday

I could not disagree more with your opinion on Bradley Dick and i will be more than happy to change your mind. :)

Let's look at how he did last year overall. Not just the GF where his whole team got spanked.

Debuted for the Sharks in the reserves in round 11 June 4th 2012. Keep in mind up until this point he had been on a restricted training schedule that didn't allow him to partake in pre season as he was rehabilitating from a knee reconstruction.

Round 11 reserves 2 goals

Round 12 reserves 2 goals

Round 13 reserves 2. 5

Round 14 reserves 3 goals

Round 15 (ELEVATED TO SENIORS) 2.3 goals

Round 16 bye

Round 17 2.1

Round 18 4.4

Round 19 0.2

Round 20 bye

Round 21 2.1

Round 22 6.1

Round 23 3.1

Round 24 3.2

Semi finals 2.4

Prelim final 3.1

Final 0.1

So that's 36 goals & 26 behinds in 15 games. Keep in mind the only two games all year he didn't kick a goal in were the two games they played the Claremont Tigers who were the best team all year. They won the WAFL GF and the Foxtel cup and kept a very tight leash on Dicky boy.

He averaged 2.4 goals a game. This is coming back from a knee reco with no pre season under his belt. The kid will be a very good player for us if he can keep his body fit which is the only reason he wasn't given a game last year though he was elevated as backup for the finals.Dick earned his elevation to the main list the bloody hard way. I take my hat off to him.

Lastly go to this link to watch the video, this was his haul of six. Love the snap of the right boot, kid can kick with either foot and is a real goal crumber, just what we need.

That is a pretty strong side..so the only best 22 we are missing is Kerr, Nic Nat and Wellers.

WTF? Do you realise the player we would have picked up at pick 88 would most likely not ever play a game for us? Dick performed extremley well in nearly all of the WAFL games he played. Will be a great addition for us if he stays injury free

You're a clown

A potential team, not that it matters all that much. But it’s a pretty strong squad.

27 have been named so I’m guessing three get culled, three will be subs.

Butler Glass Schofield
Hurn Mackenzie A. Selwood
Rosa Priddis Gaff
Sheppard Darling McGinnity
LeCras Kennedy Hill

Cox S. Selwood Shuey

Brown Masten Cripps Smith Lycett Embley McGovern Hams Tunbridge

I think McGovern, Hams and Tunbridge will be the ones that will be cut.

I'm interested to see whether we'll play Cox, Naitanui, Kennedy, Darling and McIness/McGovern in the same team or not.
McGovern is more of medium fwd/third tall/CHB/ruckman

Height jokes aside, McGovern did say on the podcast that he preferred playing back.

When asked who he would kick out of the team to make way for him (it wasn't really a serious question), he said that it would have to be JK as that's the spot he'd have to take. From that it seems pretty clear we won't play a third tall forward, but best made plans always change and I'm sure the match committee wouldn't rule it out if McGovern or McInnes were kicking bags after bags in the WAFL.

should be good to see a strong side this week. potentially we could have our best forward line on the park with Darling, Kennedy, Lecras, and I feel McGovern is the most suitable to take that Lynch spot. with Hill,Cripps, Hams on the other floating pocket. Best forward line in the league will be on display:)

I liked how cripps moved last week, a couple of times I said who was that and it was cripps, he showed some good form and pace.

Probably picked a strong side due to it being Collingwood and also I doubt we will be taking glassy and co to alice to play port with the heat and travel

Do you realise that we didn't draft Morton?

And it cost us next to nothing to acquire these guys so how could it be a "huge mistake"? What's the worst that could come of it?

Looks like McGovern is getting first shot for CHF over McInness

It's amazing how much some of you guys can infer from so little.
