St Patrick climbed a mountain?

I thought he just drank Guinness....

I'm sure he cracked a Guinness once he got to the top.

Probably also had one after he drove all the snakes out of Ireland. (Though that wouldn't have taken long as there were no snakes there to begin with).

So St Patrick was also the Pied Piper?

Soooooooo subjective.

Personally, I hate the heat and humidity. I accept I'm probably in the minority, but I'm not completely alone on this opinion.

Heat and humidity on the GC????????? Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha ...

**** me some Aussies are soft .....

Try living in KL and Bangkok for a few years and then get back to me ...

By the way, there is more heat in Perth than the GC.... and the humidity is waaay overstated ...

E87 is right. Humidity in Australia is nothing.

Nah, humidity makes it way worse. You can't lose heat, the sweat just drips off instead of evaporating. GC gets very humid. Obviously Bali and etc are shocking but keep it relative. Perth is just a dry heat, both dangerous.

They use a Wet Bulb Temperature indicator if you want to google it.

And??

GC does not get "very" humid compared with places that genuinely do get humid. I like that your argumentative Pat but sometimes it would be nice if you exhibited a clue :)

Splitting hairs again?

Who?

Someone suggested that Gold Coast has better weather than Sydney, some others complained about the humidity and heat.

I simply pointed out that the Gold Coast is not that hot (never gets as hot as Perth) and by the standards of genuinely humid places it isnt that humid ... it has nice weather with much more pleasant winters than, say, Perth or Sydney ...

Addressing bogus assertions is splitting hairs now?

Oh should we start comparing everything to Kuala Lumpar because you've been....

Yay, a new point of comparison for everybody to use.

Typical Pat Footy response. Throws out an assertion simply to be different (usually involves something I've said) and then can't back it up ..

I think i actually used 2 cities as examples, but lets be honest, i could have compared the humidity to the far north of WA, to Darwin, to Nth Qld, to anywhere in SE Asia ... they all would have made the same point ... humidity on the GC is relatively mild compared to anywhere with real humidity ...

That coupled with the fact that the GC doesn't have the temperatures (i.e. the heat) that those other places have also lessens the blow ...

I mean have any of the people complaining about GC humidity & heat spent any time there? Any of you spent any time in real humidity and heat?

Perth is more oppressively hot than most places for quite a decent chunk of the year ... but we rave about our weather ... give me 29 and humid in Broadbeach over 37 - 43 for 8 of out 12 days (2 or 3 times) during summer in Perth ...

Arguing that weather isnt a plus for the GC (over Sydney or most places) is just silly ...
