Someone suggested that Gold Coast has better weather than Sydney, some others complained about the humidity and heat.

I simply pointed out that the Gold Coast is not that hot (never gets as hot as Perth) and by the standards of genuinely humid places it isnt that humid ... it has nice weather with much more pleasant winters than, say, Perth or Sydney ...

Addressing bogus assertions is splitting hairs now?

When your arguing over the difference between "very humid" and just "humid" yes its splitting hairs.

Unless you would like to first classify the definition of very humid? and then we can rate each location based on that so everyone is in agreeance to use the correct terminology next time we talk about humid climates.

From my times spent on the gold coast, sunshine coast and in the whitsundays i've found the humidity to be not bad at all. The general part of this is because it is an actual issue at times almost everyone has air conditioning and its always reverse cycle where as in perth because of the lack of humidity a lot of people either dont have air conditioning or have shithouse evaporative.

Either that or when im at the gold coast im always in decent accomodation for work and such and i dont notice it. In saying that though as a kid visiting broome and port headland to see my birth mother i used to enjoy the weather up there and although it was hotter and more humid i always found the heat more acceptable than what it is in perth.

Weather in Kalgoorlie is fantastic, unfortunately there is no beach, lake, stream, puddle of muddy water to enjoy it in.
