I expect him to be dropped again from the side at some point in the second half, and probably finish the year outside of the best 23. I just don't think he will make it.
There is no way Madgen beats him out with how much better our backline is playing with him in ahead. Dean could get a look in, but he's probably going to need a while to get match fitness

What makes you think he won't make it what is it ?

If you watched his game today it's clear to see he has the ability just needs a good run at it

Says the expert himself, I bet you wrote Murphy off up until two weeks ago. You’ve got no clue. Get Stephenson in…

Never wrote Murphy off, just didn't know if his body would ever get right. Go back to pining for Darcy Fogarty lmao. Or continue parading your one victory about Stephenson, I don't really care.

Surprising. I guess you play the percentages with your comments, 50:50 hit ratio based on random thoughts. Did you ever play football, or any sport?

Magnificent, Murph. I was a doubter and saw him as a list clogger this year. Hopefully the form continues. Like others , I felt he lacked pace. He is no speedster but on a dry track today in a big game he looked at home. His sure hands in the air and undoubted courage gives you a lovely warm feeling of security when the ball is in the air and he is in the vicinity.

I haven’t been a fan and would delisted him last year but he was still contracted

I feared he might be slow but held up fine with the pace of the game today.

The bigger body has him competing better and the overhead intercept marking is a new element to his game… all he did previously was throw himself at it and take the occasional good contested chest mark

In the right age bracket, and with a dearth of mid sized defensive options available… could be a 50-100 game player if the cards fall his way if his form and his body holds up

Yes. Marking has looked much better. That's what he needs to maintain.

That's the blue print for Murphy. If he can intercept mark with that effectiveness he has a spot in the side. It's about staying on the field and consistency of performance now.

It’s not only that though, he’s been spoiling…that’s what was missing in the two preceding loses. Too many east marks in the 50.
