Do you have a link ?

Langdon was incredibly quick. Molly n co are right often had the fastest sprint time in a game. Would only ever use it defensively though. He was very laconic offensively which made people think he was slow. Really he was just composed with the ball.

Interesting game this week for Murph

Carlton have Curnow Silvagni and 4 mosquitos
Not sure he has an obvious match up unless they put him on Silvagni and put Howe on a small

If Jack Martin returned that would be another option

He'll go to Silvagni and Howe will play looser intercepting.

Impressed with murphy last night. Faded a bit late but thought it was probably the best I've seen him in the ones. Definitely a backman, don't want to see him forward again.
Agree - and he has a huge tank (Top 10 for 2k time trial in his draft year), so there maybe more flexibility in him than we think.

Not really sure why people don't like Murphy but has always looked like a solid player to me.
I was very impressed by what i saw from him when he debuted in 18. Last year was subsequently underwhelming, perhaps because my expectations were too high, or perhaps because he was thrown around a bit and coming back from injuries/poor continuity through covid. One of many guys we have who has always looked pretty good in the 2s, so pleased to see that translate.

A lack of closing speed or offensive action is going to be a big issue. I think he's going to have to become much cleaner with his hands and more effective with his kicking to nail down a spot.

The biggest compliment that I can pay him is that he didnt look out of place... the only exception was that attempt of a disposal near the boundary...

The fact that he came back from a longterm injury last week and played well at the VFL level and did his role this week, might indicate that he is an option to the madge.

Good luck to the kid but I think the heavier, slippery conditions in Perth could’ve played to his favour… made it more of a longer kicking territory game

This week at the G will be dry and a quicker, more dynamic ball movement game for it

Interested to see if he can keep up. But the 3rd tall spot is there to be taken if he’s good enough

Looked good in the wet and hasn't wasted his time in rehab. He has definitely put on some muscle. I think his lack of pace is a concern as a defender, but I hope he proves me wrong.

To say he was incredibly quick is an understatement.

Langdon once clocked the fastest land speed of any mammal in a game at the Gabba.

Watch the first 10 minutes of the first qtr where he showed good closing speed to spoil Fredericks - it suggests concerns with pace maybe overstated.
