huh? I rated stevens but we have backed in what we have already. Stevens is an inside bull. we went with the sa boy. and that leaves us what we got which is a slowish midfield and hooper is one of them. Dont rate hooper, that trade killed us. you comprehendo my angle now.

What the Richmond recruiters say about Fawcett...

"Liam is the product of the Central District Football Club in South Australia and played his junior football with Golden Grove Junior Football Club and Pooraka Football Club.

"He's a 197cm key forward who had a consistent season for Central District, avergaing 15 possessions, seven marks (two contested), two goals and a score assist per game.

"Relatively new to the talent pathway, Liam did a fantastic job to represent South Australia in the U18 National Championships, where he showed versatility to play at both ends of the ground.

"Liam is a hard-worker with terrific aerobic capacity and we believe he has a lot of growth in his game once he gets into a full-time training environment.

"On behalf of the Richmond Football Club, we would like to welcome Liam and his family to Tigerland."

looks like a bit of a high upside project player, Lynch will be huge for him

We've got a lot of picks next year now with two seconds and three thirds.
As it stands 6, 25, 26, 39, 43 & 44 are our picks in the first 3 round, based on 2023 ladder positions.

Gaining draft capital for next year, wise if it’s a better draft and gives us trade options for next year. A first, two seconds and three thirds now 👍
Not to mention 2 1sts for Dusty.

I like the 15 touch and 7 mark averages. Tells me he’s not a stay at home forward and gets up the ground. Long shot you’d say. But Mitch Lewis and Larkey were both taken later than this so you never know. Good to have a young developing key forward on the list anyway

Yet Stevens is as much of a slow midfielder as Hopper (maybe even slower, going by comments made by people who have watched him), while the SA kid is rated as someone with elite speed (as well as elite strength and contest work, so it's not like we went with a skinny outside mid or anything).

And you would rate a player who is yet to be drafted 47 49 picks into a draft as someone who would be better than a player rated within the top 15 10 of his respective draft?

BTW, McAuliffe averages more clearances and tackles than Stevens at their junior level, so not sure why you're describing one as an inside bull but not the other.

So no, I don't get your angle.
