Just dropped 51 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assist and 1 steal against the Cavs on 9 min quarters, lost 115 to 95 though

I've had like 25 points 10 assists 9 rebounds with 3 mins to go and the ****ing coach subbed me off for the rest of the game

I got the game on tuesday, Its really impressive, the last 2k I had was 2k7 and its in another galaxy to that. In My player mode I made an 6'8 Italian SF 3pt Specialist and I managed to get a contract with T'wolves today. Its such an engaging format I was actually nervous on my NBA debut and I kept on deferring shots, lol. Anyways, what have you guys gotten your ratings up to so far, I'm only a 48 currently. My 3pt rating is 84 but I'm a really bad 3pt shooter, does anyone know how I can fix this? I drain everything in practice but go cold in games.
My overall is now 65 i think, just started dunking because i never upgraded that .

I think you mean "Consistency" which is under the Mental tab. Boost that along with Off. and Def. Awareness which all boost your IQ and boost your overall. My 6'11 PF is rated at 59 after 16 games in the NBA. Starting to get some good minutes after investing in Stamina. Still can't get any boards over Lopez, he's such a glass hog!
Got pickd up by the Grizzlies last night! Great news... playing SG behind OJ Mayo and occasionally sliding to Small Forward for... err... to replace Rudy Gay.
Played my first game nervouse as sht! Got a B-... was devastated... then picked it up in my second game with an A.
It's way harder imo.. a lot of my "super D-League" drives just get sent...
One objective really bugged me though... I started my first game at SF and had to keep my matchup to 2 points!! wtf?
Oh, and it was Melo. *sigh*
He scored two buckets on the first two possessions. lol
We lost to the Nuggets by 10 and then lost to the Warriors by 20.
But still loving the format... when i get a chance to play.

I bailed on my boring pg who was going nowhere and remade a 6'10" athletic PF. So much easier to use and play with, still in summer league but kicking a$$ which is nice...
Does this mean they are pushing the release of the patch forward?
Getting my association on with the clips and I really don't know what to do with Eric Gordon.
I rate him as a player, but I love taller SG's.
I've traded for DeRozen to be my long term 2 man and extracted Johnny Flynn from Minny. Also picked up the extreemly poorly rated Thabeet.
I'm running out of assets but won't give up one of my 2 1sts this year (Clits and Jizzlies).

Trying to wing a deal for OJ Mayo to have a 1/2 combo guard as a sixth man.
I'm slightly obsessed witht he 1/2 combo guard as 6th man. Thus man love for Hinrich etc.

I'm all about athletic 4 men who can play the 3. Not many around, hence creating myplayer in that mould... Fun!
So is this gonna be available next time I/we get on? (I'm a "loser 360 user")
First thoughts on my player is that it's pretty addictive, consistent with what I've read. Getting annoyed at having to change the camera angle EVERY game though, and there's no slider/gameplay changes you can make in myplayer? (e.g. foul sliders). The new menu is taking some time to get used to as well.
Also that frame rate problem is a game killer. There's no way I could keep playing with that happening, and it sucks because I use the "broadcast" angle, which seems to get it the worst. Switching to "skybox" though, which is similar, seemed to work though. This is only in D-league games so far though.
I kinda sucked it up with my guy in the first myplayer game cos I wasn't used to the gameplay and got greedy at the end calling for the ball constantly, which eventually resulted in me getting cut from the summer circuit even though i put in some good performances after. Will probably start again if/when the new patch comes in and also make a more all-round SF instead of a point-forward SF (you don't get PG duties)
Amazed at how many tendancies they've put in for players, and the fact that you can now customize the style of each type of shot the player puts up (left/right side fades, runners, leaners etc.) instead of just their standard jumpshot.
Any recommendations on a realistic downloadable roster?

Traded for him in my Association to the Spurs, he's so handy. Haven't played for a while though, stuck in My Player hehe. Swatted the sh!t out of LeBron a couple games ago, racked up 22 points as well which was nice. Still lost though.Over the years and years and years of NBA Live... and then the 2k8, 2k9 and 2k10 experience.. (never going back to Live btw)...
...I have found the most success with a three point shooting "Bowen/Kapono type" at SF, a healthy sized 6'6" scoring SG, (usually KB24) any PG with a high passing rating, (I used to use Travis Best or Lindsey Hunter a LOT) and a mid-range jump shooting PF.
It never mattered who I put in C... I've used everyone from Mutombo to Rasheed Wallace to even Keith Closs back in the day!!
(Funny times in Live 2000(?) when Closs was a plus 7ft black man IRL with afro puffs... but a plus 7 ft white guy with a side part in the video game.. )

The patch will fix all of the problems I had with this game.
And I dont have to restart any modes.

In my Associations from 2k9 and now 2k10 I've always picked up Jason Kapono to come off the bench, he's easy to acquire and he shoots the 3 ball very well.
IMO he's a must have especially with the shit teams, having someone to come off the bench that can score from downtown consistently.
