Depending on who you asked, you’d get a different perspective.

The fact is he couldn’t get the Mavs to the play in, let alone the playoffs. That’s bad.

One minute he’s dragged a team to the WCF, the next minute he couldn’t get into the play in because he has no help?

He‘s a superb player, there is no doubt about that at all, but to have him immune from criticism as to how things have gone in Dallas is a bit tiring.

There is a school of thought that Dallas deliberately tanked the last quarter of last season in order to keep their draft pick (which was originally projected to go to New York) and it paid off big time

Lively is a really good big man prospect.
