ROB is #1 in the AFL for hitouts, #2 for hitouts to advantage in the AFL, #3 in the AFL for ruck win %.

ROB has been objectively poor this year. He is below average for rucks in almost every statistical category except for hit outs, and although those numbers are impressive you rarely see his tap work have a genuine impact on the game in the way Gawn does.

Oh God, bit of a car crash interview on FiveAA right now, Ned has brought back the non-statistical role, when Rowey told him he’d run 29 km’s for 18 disposals in 2 matches Ned says he’s playing a role they’ve defined at the club called ‘the runner’ and it uses his strengths, brought up Nicks’ shape jargon as well says it’s all about shape… bloody hell.

So we wasted a 1st round pick on a niche role we could have filled by recruiting a marathon runner off the street.

Will be interesting if Smith misses, if they don’t bring in a half back, the only options left are untried so doubt that happens, even though would be perfect opportunity for Curtin.

One of Laird or Dawson will go to the half back flank. Meaning Berry comes in for Crouch, but we are going to need another mid. Pedlar or Dowling are the choices. Reckon they will go Pedlar, which means Ned will get the sub. So the cockroach survives.
