New AFL Video Game - Part 5 - READ FAQ BEFORE POSTING

A bit harsh to suggest it's a "poor effort", they've already expressed (with the AFL game at least but you'd imagine it's the same) that they're focusing their small budget on gameplay, so that's all that matters.
It's a cliche but it rings true, get the gameplay foundation right and the better features will follow.

Is it possible to ask how many multiples of different cheers you have, because (Yes I know you have no connection to the old games
) in the old games, there were only about 2 or 3 set cheers which didn't exactly seem very enthusiastic after you'd heard them alot.Also does the crowd get sound more excited in a closer match than a blowout?

lol, its a video game remember. cant get your expectations too high
does the crowd change ross? as in will there be a bigger crowd come grand final day?

Ahh well yeah Dogs season is hanging by a thread as well.
I've tried that as well with my mp3, but played it back. Sounded terrible, but Big Ant Studios would have actual sound recording devices worth around $500.

Can someone explain what's wrong with the season mode in RLL that makes it bad? I haven't yet played the game so, I'm just wondering lol.

doesn't sound too good. Big Ant just give us the season mode from 07 and we're good
... but too bad it isn't as easy as copy and pasting.just a quick couple of questions about the game..
1) Is it possible for kosi to get a kick in the game?
2) Can akermanis do handstands?
3) Can Milne only kick snaps?
4) Does the game allow you to put oakliegh nicols in the first 22?
5) Can josh hunt miss a target?
6) Can Swan get anything under 30 disposals?
7) Can Nick Nat jump over the moon at a night game?

Going to be one of the WORST AFL games made. NO DRAFT or TRADE WEEK and you joking ?
One thing i like about Rating a game good is its season modes. how you can get new players and try and get a better team for the next year.
If i was Rating this game outta 10 , It has already started with a -2 before it even comes out.
I think if you want people to buy this crap you should sell it for around $50 cause it will get boring VERY VERY quick.
why not just scrap the season and just make it a online game to play against friends. till you get everything up and running better.
GOING to be a MASSIVE FAIL this game - Ill buy it just so you think its good and hopefully make a better game next time that HAS DRAFT AND TRADES

Well there is no good talking up a game thats going to fail.
Anyone saying its going to be good and they cant wait for it to come out
well ...... when you get the game your going to be shocked and asking for your money back its going to be a MASSIVE FAIL. it be good for few days then you will want your money back.

I guess I can only speak for myself but I would wager that for most people it will be the gameplay that makes or breaks this game.
Ross has already said there will be multiple seasons and we will be able to manually trade/retire/delist players between seasons so I don't think the season mode will be a complete fail. Hell, he has even said you can play every game of the season if you really want. For a first iteration I think that is absolutely fine as far as the season mode goes, but I (and a lot of others) will be a far less forgiving if the gameplay isn't fun.

Trade week would have been good, but the draft sucked in the older games. I would much rather have no draft at all if the alternative meant they simply took a random player's first name and combined it with a random player's last name just so the commentary didn't break, which was how the draft worked in the old AFL games.

People have like different things like i don't like lord of the rings movie but people seem to like it so people have different tastes.. for mine Draft and Trade week should of been added.
Game Play is what makes every game based on the RL game its going to be VERY POOR and all this wait is all going to be for nothing.
BUT hopefully i am proven wrong
