A bit of a story on the new logo:

Trademark searches by SB Insider also confirmed a new logo for AFL club Western Bulldogs. The application was made on June 21st and confirmed by club CEO Simon Garlick on Thursday.
“Following on from the successful move to the Bulldogs ‘hoops’ guernsey this year the Club has been exploring further re-branding opportunities in line with our five year strategy around ‘Winning the West’,” Garlick told us in a statement.
”At this stage no decisions have been made around our future branding directions – Members and Fans will of course be kept informed in the event of any changes.”

Adelaide also did a pretty ripping job of keeping their fans out of the loop in regards to their logo transition.

It has that 'modern' feel to it like the new logos for Hawthorn, Geelong, Richmond etc. which I would be a bit wiry about, but to be honest I actually think this looks pretty good, I prefer it to our current logo anyway.

If we're going to have a shield, I think it would be nice if the club motto were incorporated somewhere, for the sake of completeness.

I like it. The only real criticism that I have is that the typography is a little...meh, hopefully if this is to become permanent they tweak it somewhat.

Always hated robo dog.

Already looked dated when new, looks godawful today.

Is this meant to be a kid's t-shirt design or a logo?
I'm all for new logo but this is a step backwards... right up there with the Crows debacle.
Unbalanced, trivial, no class whatsoever, shithouse font, very very dissappointed in what they have churned out.
Hopefully this is updated again soon to something we can all be proud of.

Tradition is important, EJ Whitten, and Charlie Sutton did not play in a premiership with Western Bulldogs. Footscray won in 1954, and Footscray is what the club should be.

I like this new one, particularly compared to the current one. Just as long as any we don't fill our logo with bullshit symbolism like the Australian flag, the Southern Cross, etc.

I'm not a fan the new logo. Looks a bit childish to me. I'd be reluctant to wear something with that logo on down the street. Having said that I'm not a fan of the robo-dog logo, so if there is an opportunity to change, I'm all for it. My preference would be a more classic style that will remain timeless. I like the earlier idea of incorporating the logo with multiple dogs.

I can't stand the lopsided shield trend. The sort of thing that will look dated in short order (ie, teal, pumping fists and stylised pointy prisonbars).

Lopsided shield, two legged dog and unbalanced look. I'm personally not sold on this.
It definitely needs some tweaking!
