Vital that Davies and Draper have huge preseasons to put some pressure on him next year. That said, he'll probably lose the captaincy and be a better player for it.
I'll be shocked if he loses captaincy in one year.

Mundy lost it to arguably our best ever player in Fyfe. Brayshaw has been poor all season and Serong can wait.

I think he takes the same path as fyfe and just hands it over,
No shame in it. Body’s not right either, if he can’t get out on the track during the week he loses touch with the group.
Needs to pass it to Serong a focus on getting himself right.

Worse then the ball going through your fingers on an easy mark that resulted in a goal ....yeah ok
One error. Serong made a bad error at the end so did Jackson. Cox misjudged the ball all day and Ryan got out muscled and out run by Gunston all day. The same Gunston that looked like he was one step from a retirement village all year. At least Daniher has had a great season.

Pearce played a fine game, but a veteran defender really needs to knee better than to go for an extremely difficult, contested mark in the goal square. That is all kinds of dumb.

Yes this - and his kick to henry in the last was a simple 30m kick that he hit so badly it turned into a wobbly torpedo and made the pick up almost impossible. That was the worse error. Something you can't have a captain make when we are under pressure.

Sadly, using your apparent expertise of the game, that cancels out Serong as captain - his kick into the forward in the closing minutes was a shocker, impossible to pick up.

Midfielders butchering the ball on the transition means our defenders are caught out when the opposition counter. Not their fault that we are turnover merchants when trying to push forward

Yes, there are moments our captain is letting the team down with either poorly timed intercept attempts or poor decision-making, however, he is not alone in making mistakes and some of the mistakes are symptoms of an often errant midfield

Nothing wrong with the way AP played yesterday with the exception of the one costly mistake at the end.

While not at his best i thought he played a pretty good game in restricting Joes influence for the most part. Still absolutely want him to hand the captaincy over but i'm encouraged by his form and am now not of the view that hes totally cooked.

Almost a good point except Pearce has been doing that regularly throughout his career and has missed that kick, which has far less pressure on it at least 7 times this season for terrible results.

Am I happy with Serongs disposal this year? No. Does he need to improve it? Yes.

Will Pearce improve his? Far less chance considering his age and that it has declined throughout his career.

He played an ok game. Not great or terrible. Did some good things and some bad things. That turnover is a team killer and is something he has done consistently throughout the last two to three seasons.

So statistically, according to you, 21 rounds and Alex has made 7 mistakes, that's 1 every 3 rounds. Where's the firing squad - seriously, you have no idea.

What a loyal and positive supporter.
You must sit down before each game with a pen and paper gleefully writing down every mistake Alex makes, then hurry on to BF to tell everyone.

How many mistakes has Serong made this season? How many marks has Jackson dropped this year? How many times has Sonny turned the ball over diving for free kicks?

None of these statistics many anything, because Fremantle have a very young and inexperienced team who are prone to inconsistency. All of your attention seeking noise about Alex and his captaincy means nothing to the people inside the club because they 'know'.

He shouldn't have even kicked it. Clark was in miles of space and would have run the ball out with an overlap. Poor awareness/vision from Pearce. Would have been a simple handball, but he panicked.

Surely the back 6 can devise a game plan to avoid AP kicking the ball at all? Especially those risky 25 m cross field passes. Wagner and Clark can just take the HB receive off him each time. He’s just about the worst kick in the AFL and can’t be relied upon - it is a coach killer despite his other great traits.

This is the thing that's so baffling. He can't kick but is a superb competitor. Surely we can organise the defence so that they can feed off him and counter attack.
