The jumper at the KIA promotional event was a prototype quickly put together to have something to present. The top McVeigh is wearing in that picture is the 2012 jumper.
I don't think the photo on the Essendon store is the 2012 one. I might be wrong, but it seems unlikely.

The Kia top has some obvious changes in comparison to the 2011 one. The most obvious is the most discussed - the collar. The collar is more rounded at the bottom. It's almost like a combination of the 2011 and 2009 collar. Secondly, the sash goes into the AFL logo. The 2011 sash does not touch the AFL logo at all. Why would Adidas manufacture a jumper like that for a one off? Why have a collar for a relatively pointless photo opportunity?

I would also say the collar above is the new Adidas stock collar. Collingwood's training tops have the same collar. For reasons unknown, Collingwood have not updated their collar for 2012 for on-field guernseys. I've no idea why. It's not a deserted prototype design, it's just new.

When a new sponsor is announced, quite often a patch will be used for early promotion. The Kia logo could be sublimated. But even if not, the Kia logo is not large enough to be bigger than the Samsung logo that would've been there.

Fremantle are advertising a 2012 away jumper on their website. It's not different in design. The sponsors name has simply changed. A basic photoshop replaces the sponsor logos. A lot of clubs will do this for their websites and online stores.

Again, my guess is that they wanted a top that had the Kia logo on it, so they probably just used whatever they had at the time. Going by the photo, I can't really tell whether that logo has actually been printed on the jumper, or whether it has been ironed on.

Also, the jumper on the site has True Value Solar on the front (which is where they will be placed on the 2012 home jumper), when Samsung was on the front on the 2011 home jumper. Could argue that they wouldn't want to show one with Samsung seeing as how they no longer sponsor them, but I'd also argue they would show the Kia logo on the front if they had the choice.

I still can't see a difference in the 2011 collar and the one in the picture above. The main difference is that the sash was moved to the left to the point that the collar cuts into it instead of being cut off at the sleeve like before.

Yeah, I couldn't give two stuffs about the collar itself. I could give a stuff however about the sash being cut off near the top. But luckily, that's not the case, as I have explained in my previous posts.

I'm not trying to be argumentative or aloof. But I don't understand the point you're trying to convey. What you've written seems barely changed by what I've said... which makes me believe you did not read my input.

There were twitter photos of the Kia jumper. No way would they be edited or photoshopped. Simply put, it is a new jumper. The Kia logo is on the front - nothing else was, or is.

The Essendon store says True Value Solar will be on the front, Kia on the back. In the promo shot, Kia is only on the front for Kia's sake. They're advertising that Kia is now a major sponsor of EFC. So, for that shot, they've put Kia on the front.

But, Kia could be on the front for away games. Collingwood reverse the CGU and Emirates logo depending on if its a home or away game. Essendon may do the same.

Compare and contrast the training and playing jumpers on the Collingwood site. The 2012 collar has a rounded botton, not a triangular one.

Richmond's is pretty much perfect. It slips under the radar as a jumper. And that probably is a good thing.

Clubs really know how to unecessarily **** up perfectly good guernseys don't they? That looks ****ing stupid!!! Why they would even think about doing that is beyond me. Has gone from being a perfectly fine guernsey to one of the worst in the comp. Whilst there's no silly sponsor boxes anymore, the sponsors look kinda weird too. Not sure if I like them

I agree. The lack of hoops is just crap. Looks really odd.

They could just be youth sizes. In the photo, the shelves are stacked a certain way. The sizes gradually get larger. So I would suggest that youth or small sizes are in view. If you go onto Crowmania, the 2011 youth guernsey looks the same.

I don't hate the lack of hoops.

It's still a well designed, individual jumper. I've always loved the combination of the earthy colours and the heavy background.

Though with the navy shorts and hooped socks, the players could look odd. It could create an illusion of shortness. The chests could appear larger, though. (Writing that paragraph made me cringe)

The new Toyota logo looks good as well. The thing is though, Adelaide and Toyota suit having a sponsor box. It makes the Toyota stand out, in comparison to the new logo. Whereas clubs like Sydney, Brisbane, and Gold Coast don't need a box - it clutters the view of the sponsor.

Tbh I'm not sure that the youth sizes did end up really looking much like that. Saw plenty of youth guernseys in the shops and at footy training and never recall seeing anything quite that different

It looks to me like the adult sizes in the home and clash jumpers are to the left of that photo, and the youth sizes are to the right.

It's missing one red and one yellow 'bar' (hoop) from previous versions; the red usually sitting just below the AFL and Toyota logos.
