News New Jumpers for 2015

It's that time of year again! Post pictures, news articles and press releases related to new jumpers being worn next season. Please leave your concepts/ideas to the "Jumper Ideas for 2015" thread.

Feel free to post the jumpers we already know about that have been posted prior in other threads. As for how long this thread will stay open, we'll use this catch-all thread over the off-season and then before the start of the 2015 season I'll put it to a vote – whether we continue the weekly threads or just go with a megathread a la 2010/11/12.

NEWS: (thanks to Fizzler for collating, I've just cleaned up the formatting and added links)

Adelaide:

• New manufacturer in BLK
• New clash guernsey
• A new, alternate crow logo features on new BLK training guernseys in green, orange and yellow. It also appears on a black run-out top
• The Crows 25th Anniversary logo appears above the numbers on all guernseys
• New home socks

Brisbane:

• The Fitzroy lion returns!
• New home, away and clash guernseys (the latter taking inspiration from Fitzroy's 19th century 'funnel' guernsey)
• Garuda Indonesia joins as shorts sponsor

Carlton:

• New home guernsey with the traditional monogram (chosen after members' vote)
• New Nike template with slightly altered collar
• New clash guernsey with the traditional monogram; the navy 'scoop' returns to the front after being mistakenly absent in 2014
• New logo, identical to last year's 150th Anniversary crest except the "Celebrating 150 Years" text is replaced with Carlton's traditional Latin motto, "Mens Sana In Corpore Sano"

Collingwood:

• Star logo on collar changed to wordmark
• Emirates logo smaller and thinner
• Magpie 'watermark' on the middle back stripe of the home guernsey

Essendon:

• New adidas template with collar piping and grey seams along side. Possibly a darker red too
• EFC monogram to feature above the numbers on all guernseys

Fremantle:

• Woodside logo is now white on a red background

Geelong:

• Graphic on inside collar of home guernsey: gold cat, hoops, establishment date and premiership years
• Gold introduced as a tertiary colour on nearly all 2015 merchandise
• Promotional guernsey for Kardinia Park released (in-store only)

Gold Coast:

• New manufacturer in BLK
• GC logo is rendered slightly differently than last year on all guernseys (lighter inside)

GWS:

• New manufacturer in BLK
• Lifebroker no long secondary (back) sponsors – no replacement announced yet

Hawthorn:

• New adidas template with collar piping and seams cutting off the stripes at top and bottom
• Imprinted Hawks logo removed from front of all guernseys
• HFC monogram removed from back of away guernsey
• Luke Hodge 250 games promotional guernsey (featuring the new adidas template)

Melbourne:

• New New Balance template
• Club logo and MFC monogram watermark removed from front of all guernseys
• New red 'clash' guernsey featuring the MFC monogram
• New white 'clash' guernsey, a variant of the above

North Melbourne:

• New manufacturer in Canterbury
• Club logo removed from front of all guernseys
• 'NMFC' on inside collar of all guernseys
• Mazda BT-50 logo is now in a black box on the back of all guernseys

Port Adelaide:

• New teal pre-season guernsey
• 'We Are Port Adelaide' on inside collar of home and away guernseys

Richmond:

• Home, clash and pre-season guernseys all stay the same for 2015

St. Kilda:

• Nothing has been announced or leaked as of yet

Sydney:

• 'EST. 1874' on inside collar of home guernsey
• Club Champion Medallists promotional guernsey

West Coast:

• Nothing has been announced or leaked as of yet

Western Bulldogs:

• Updated manufacturer branding from KooGa to BLK
• New logo, which features on white, red and yellow training guernseys
• 'Eureka' promotional guernsey for Labor's proposal for the club to play games at Ballarat's Eureka Stadium

Umpires:

• New manufacturer in BLK
• Pink 'clash' shirt available for purchase – unsure if this is for the AFL or just local leagues only

Surely Hawthorn/Adidas wouldn't make up an entirely new design/template just for a commemorative guernsey. They must be using it for 2015-16.

Reckon the current Adidas template is the best in the competition, personally, but I don't think that's a massive call. I like the simplicity, the classic look of the collar. It doesn't distract from the actual design. And it sits well. You can tell this new collar is going to look so cramped and high on the players, it'll just look uncomfortable (a little like the old, and maybe even now with the tight cut of the newy, Dees jumper).

Why do designers even do it? It's not like they're trying to keep in contact with the soccer templates.

In fact, unlike Essendon, the Hawks can actually change their design a bit every two years and keep everyone happy: maintain their heritage, give us poindexters something to discuss, and ship new jumpers through the 'wow, that's new!' factor. Potentially, in 2015, they could have an all gold back and all gold socks. Then in 2017, return to hooped socks and add the white number panel again, then just revert to the stripes-sans-box the cycle after.

A bit like the Bullies; red collars next year, red and white the next, all blue the one after...

That is awful. Much like Puma have done with their current template vs their previous one, Adidas has ballsed it up big time and stuffed around with something that didn't require any tinkering.

Its only saving grace is the piping at the top of the collar. I like that, it's a bit different, and we haven't seen piping at all in the AFL since 2009

I'm pretty sure Under Armour only had the umpires contract for one season too; they seem to rotate manufacturers pretty quickly

They had at least 4 years IIRC. Two with multiple colours (looked almost the same as the ones before them) then the first 2 years of green/grey. Friend of mine did AFL debut in 2011 with UA kit.

I don't know about anyone else. But I'm really excited to see the Lions 2015 Home, Away and Especially their Clash. I don't see the old lion working with Brisbane's current clash design.
