They manage to sell NFL jerseys, which are a similar amount of material and complexity of stitching etc for like $100-$120.

I sometimes wonder whether they only sell jerseys that are PI material or something. I just don't understand from a supply and demand perspective how $170 works. Surely at $110 you sell 5 times as many jerseys and make more money.

15-20 years ago the old cotton ones and the original sublimated league jerseys were $90-$110, but they have just kept going up from there (who knows why though as there has never been a reason given).

The material is not exactly the same as PI material, it is certainly a mass produced cheaper material, rather then the specific stuff for PI's.

Are AFL PI similar to the fan stuff? I’ve got a Fyfe PI jumper with the GPS thing etc (he likes a longer jersey for whatever reason) and it feels pretty similar. Maybe some reinforced stitching is the difference that I can see

Yeah they they look good. Although for freo we have never really been impacted by the collar changes due to the solid colours we have. 2015 I think it was - thats the only year when I could notice a difference on our away strip

Nah not yet, the colour will be the same as 2017. Very slightly lighter colour which in person looks a lot nicer but very hard to pick on field. And only the players ones
