A change will not be considered to be confirmed until it has either been announced by the club or leaked by a retailer.

Question. Does the AFL sign off on gurnseys and have any input and by input ofc not the main overall design but anything? Does anyone know?

I couldn't say if they have any direct input, but the AFL gives the clubs some direction for how clash jumpers should be. That is, predominantly white. However in recent years this has changed to become predominantly 'light' with WC, Rich, Adelaide etc all having yellow clash jumpers.

I think without the Logo it would make a pretty decent mostly white clash BUT the home is mostly white and it has the logo so....

Its still pretty shit and its also pretty pointless.

Uniforms are designed by the apparel sponsor in communication with the club.
Direction is given to the designers based on prevailing AFL rules.
Effectively, the jumpers are designed to fit the manufacturers template.
(For example, Hawthorn jumpers Brown stripes were cut off the sides because the jumpers were sewn from the front. Also, the sash is cut off the top of the Richmond AFLW jumpers because that's how the Cotton On template works.)


As mentioned, some clubs are told to include White in their Clash jumpers, others are not.
Once approved by the club they are then approved by the AFL.
At this point they become the property of the AFL.
Unless there is an issue with the public perception, such as Adelaide wearing the SA State jumper, they will be used in the next season.
All 2022 jumpers would have been approved in 2021, however, the production of the jumpers may not take place until the conclusion of the club's contract.
For example, North switching from CCC to Puma would have finished on a certain date. Puma cannot unveil, or manufacture any of their designs until after the date of the previous contract.
A sample garment would not contravene this contract, however samples can only be made in very small numbers as a visual aid to describing the proposed product.

I'm assuming the vic has put in the effort to remake the stars uniform for his profile picture so for someone to just take it is pretty disrespectful. For others to them come in and make it their profile picture, especially after he's expressed his annoyance with one person taking it, is even worse imo.
