So if Russell Athletic wanted to return to the AFL, they would have to bid to become an approved manufacturer and then bid to clubs?

I think it’s a bit different in the AFL than it is in the leagues below, where you would just have to pay a (significant) licensing fee to the AFL, and then approach clubs, however probably with no limit on spots, because you then also have to pay the club’s significant amounts to supply for them. Plus, the league probably gets stuff like royalties from retail sales etc, so it’s a bit of a different circumstance.

Whereas with state leagues and below, the leagues use it as a source of income so they limit the amount of spots available to suppliers, making it a more lucrative prospect and forcing manufacturers to offer bigger sums of cash & contra to get one of the spots.

Sekem and ISC are approved suppliers/partners to the WAFC.

Like, for anyone not aware, you can't just start up an apparel business and become a supplier to senior footy clubs. Most leagues, from the AFL, to state leagues, to metro and country ammos leagues, have approved supplier agreements where only X amount of companies may legally use their league logo on apparel, so clubs can only use those approved companies, usually in return for some sort of financial agreement between the supplier and the league.
Surprised Puma and NB haven’t had a crack yet

New Balance to lions confirmed

Considering Season 3 GIF by Portlandia

Not necessarily, the letters given and those missing could be anything. It could easily be BED KARAOKE for all we know, perhaps they are having some pre-season fun.

They probably have in the past/will in the future, it's likely that it's limited to X amount of suppliers (two in this case) to make it "lucrative" - in theory each supplier gets 4-5 teams, as soon as you add another supplier, that agreement becomes less lucrative etc.

First Question for New Balance, will they complete Classic's 3rd premiership reunion jumper and complete the set?

Worst kept secret?
North to Puma was significantly worse kept, we started hearing about that over a year before the announcement.

What's up with Brisbane always using navy blue in their off-field gear but never in the kit? It'd go so much better with maroon then royal blue does, there's a reason Fitzroy changed both at once

Does anyone know how long cotton-on is contracted to Geelong for? Not that I am wanting change, just since the initial contract haven't heard anything about additional contract lengths.

Personally I hope they try to outlast ford…

I like a consistent jumper, and given the local connection and cotton on’s success as a company, I can’t see either parties wanting to change
