But nah, it'll be a great year in the AFCWest this year, I think all four teams did great in the offseason and draft and it should make for a tight division race.

Dallas and New York probably be fighting it out for the division.

That's a ridiculous call given one of Minnesota/Green Bay, New Orleans/Atlanta and Arizona/San Francisco can't win their divisions, and should figure to be better than both Philly, Washington and probably the Giants...

By all means, if people want to make ridiculous calls, they should join in the fun and frivolity of AE 2010... but NFC East homer-ism makes me want to vomit.

I have been reading this board for months, so take your 'newbies' comment elsewhere Woodson.

And the fact is apart from GB/Vikings, there are no standouts at this stage for someone to take away the 2nd wildcard from the NFC east.

Philly will decline this year and they have a pretty tough schedule imo, they should still reach 8-10 wins which will put them near contention for 2nd wildcard.

Washington will most likely improve with their new additions, and depending on how thy go within the division they could notch up 10 wins.

I don't rate ATL and SF this year. And seeing as though the East has dominated the last couple years I'm surprised people think my comment was actually that ridiculous; Especially if Farve doesn't return.

Just 'months' ? I realise that you've been more active on the fantasy/games thread side moreso than the general discussion NFL threads over the past 12 months but when I say 'newbies' ...don't take it as a slap in the face.. (ask GG, he was getting a grilling when he started posting on these threads ) as I'm sure there are plenty other posters who have followed the NFL for over 20+ years (off & on) but barely post much. Besides, you've been a BF member since 2009. I'm sure you're more knowledgeable than the 'average joe' poster who (only) shows up in January to post around these boards. Just like to read more of your posts on this side of the forum.

Something would have to go horribly wrong for one of Vikes/Pack to miss playoffs *knocks on wood*, IMO. What Smiths was saying was one of GB/Minn will miss playoffs, and given what we know, and can reasonably expect, that's a far-out call.

I think the Cards still have a hell of a lot of talent though, and could still challenge. If Wells develops, takes pressure off the passing game, it could make the offense even more dangerous than it was with Warner. Defense isn't a whole lot worse off, Rolle may hurt, but Dansby was more reliable than exciting (save for one play).

Falcons may be a stretch, but it wouldn't surprise me if they came back to 2008 form. Don't think things could've gone much worse than they did last season, so with a little luck could look at 9-10 wins.

Far too early to write off mid-tier teams just yet.

Cards lost Warner/Dansby/Rolle/Boldin. That IMO is enough to knock any preexisting gameplan on its arse. They still have the talent to put up good games, but not consistently. I see San Fran of the past few years type years for them.

Cutler just has to eliminate his 'bone-head' throws which possibly works hand in hand with whether Lovie Smith lasts beyond this season. CRUNCH TIME will be all about the Bears this season. Every season there is a team which blossoms beyond expectations... whether it's the Cards, Bears, Niners, Fins... it all remains to be seen.

Vikes are roundly 10-6 IMO without Favre, their QB taking a while to catch up whoever it is. RIght around a WC spot.

Or he could do what he did to the Jets

basically in the other sports i am a LA fan through and through.
Kings, Lakers and Dogers.

So Californian team it has to be but who:

Oakland Raiders
SanFrancisco 49ers
San Diego Padres

As i do not know anything about the teams i think this. Raiders logo sucks, 49ers red and gold looks ugly, and padres sounds silly. not trying to stir the pot, just need to chose one of those 3.. help ..
