I heard that as well as losing the ones they did to Bundoora they've also got 6-8 senior players out injured. Depth is obviously a real issue. Early favourite for the spoon, but no relegation means the pressure is off, to some degree.

You have definitely heard wrong about the players who left holding the club to ransom. Those players that left wanted to try their hand at having a crack at Div 1 footy which you can’t begrudge any young players wanting to do. I’m sure once the Stars get back their 6-8 key players from injury they will be hard to beat.

I think the jury still out on Creek. In fairness to them, prior to yesterday their 2 losses were against 1&2 on the ladder (Eltham/Lower). And Thommo will not be easy for anyone to beat at home this year - they will continue improving the longer this group adapt to playing together. The measure for Creek after the break will be games again against Eltham & Lower in the next month.
Might be a little early, but think 1/2 probably set. 3rd & 4th will be taken by battle between Creek / Thommo / Yulers. The month after the break will produce some interesting results to sort the group.

Diamo maybe flat track bullies. Thomastown's pressure was the key. Real team effort. We were out played from the start. In the end they should have probably won by 50 points. Our boys need to get back working for each other and respecting the opposition from players and coach also.

I think Creek are being written off too early... I still rate them
My top 4 is Eltham / Lower / Creek / Thommo.... Banyule probably 1-2 games short of finals this season.
