looks like Kilmore aren't getting the points congratulations st marys on making finals. handy 2 points
Yep not surprised. Typically weak from the NFL. I wonder whether the result would be different if a big club was involved?

Anyhow this week I can see a few clubs putting the cue back in the rack with little to play for
Banyule over Kilmore by 75
South Morang over Laurimar by 150
Epping over Mernda by 150
St Mary's over Reservoir by 200

That escalated quicky.
Well I tried giving them a compliment , they put on a nice lunch and it was a enjoyable day. Maybe they don't know how to react to compliments , because it's the first they've ever had, and that grongo has a dig at me. they will never move forward because of the idiots around the club. Last year we faced shit on there turf, and there crowd was ferel, this year they were really well behaved . You tell the idiots that and they have a dig. Absolute dckheads

Announcement and decision tommorrow on Kilmore vs St Mary's and the Kilmore vs West Heidelberg grievance was heard, no evidence of racial abuse and Kilmore copped 2 charges to West Heidelbergs 7.
Interesting seems all fingers were well and truly pointed at Kilmore being at fault.

If anybody wants to imply that West were at fault is completely misinformed. As is generally the case the retaliator is often the one who gets the wrap over the knuckles while the instigator rolls around on the floor crying like they have been shot! Read what you will into it. Best of luck to Kilmore getting the st marys result turned around.

Champ, it always takes 2 to tango - yes things have changed at Morang this year with a lot more kids playing which it great for their and the clubs development but where do you get off on suggesting Morang are the laughing stock of the NFL - premierships are hard to win no matter what grade you are playing in!

giant gap between the top 4 & bottom 4. Mernda tried hard but were in a different class to Epping today. Just too many poor decisions and basic skill errors. They look a long way off and Epping never got out of first gear in difficult conditions. Alarmingly there better players were old types. Will the coach stay around in 2018?

From speaking with some people at the game yesterday, Mernda have a huge job ahead of them to get back to where they want to be. More than half of yesterday's side were reserves and under 17 players. Injuries, suspensions and o'seas trips have left them with only a handful of senior players. The coaching group advised the club a week or two ago they will not be reapplying for next year. They went to the committee a month ago and asked to begin the planning & recruiting process for next year, but were told the current committee would be stepping down and they were not in a position to make appointments or commitments to 2018. They would have to wait until the new committee come in. For mine, I can see why Power and his coaches have pulled the pin, but it doesn't help the club much. I've always seen them as a battlers club who gave great contests whenever you come up against them, and they've had success along the way, but yesterday was not the Mernda of the past. Right now it's looking bleak for their immediate future.
Epping's young blokes played some great footy in trying conditions yesterday. These blokes will be the barometer for their finals. Always know what you''ll get from the established senior players, but the younger Hughes, Perry and the younger Stavely all give the side a quicker look from last year's finals campaign. Looking forward to the finals - I think the 4 are set and any of them could take it on their day.

I see Mernda have already advertised for new coaches for 2018 so they are not just sitting around doing nothing.
Also losing 6 snr players from last year didn't help.
Hopefully they can recruit well for next year and get back to winning a few games.

When you cut there payments (50%)of course there going to walk... also not getting the u/19s doesn't help.... need a coach who can bring a few experience players to the club

Played with Freckle mid 90s at Epping.Genuine man no bull$hit.Feel for him and why should he hang around waiting? Was harshly treated at Epping also and I await with interest if current Epping coach is moved on as from afar hes running out of chances.

Now that the league investigation is complete, here are the facts:
No one from Kilmore was found to have made a racist comment.
No one was glassed or 'bottled'. One person who was a friend of a Kilmore reserves player and was attending his first ever match, walked onto the oval carrying a glass. And as you said, yes he got flogged. He has been banned for life from attending a Kilmore football match or function.
One member of the Kilmore football club was charged by the league.
Four members of the Heidelberg West football club were charged.
Taking into consideration it has been said that a group from Kilmore were pissed and were drinking from glass at a HW home game, why were they served alcohol if they were drunk and how did they come to be served alcohol in glass? This is against licensing regulations.
On this forum HW supporters have labelled Kilmore people as racist rednecks, hillbillies, f..k wits and rats to name a few, yet claim Kilmore supporters are abusive. I also read on this forum that the HW president was cited for an incident the following week whilst performing the role of umpire escort.
I think you should have a look in your own backyard first and the saying about the 'pot calling the kettle black' comes to mind.

Actually overheard parents yesterday at school footy discussing Mernda. Said they felt sorry for the coaches who came in as the playing group never fully got behind them or bought in so they "were always gunna be up against it". I Must say after hearing that, and upon reflection from an earlier game I did think the feeling odd at a huddle I went to early in the year.

Also there was thought it's not just the coaching staff on the way out, but some key members of the executive too.

Only going off hearsay so please dont howl me down like some of you can on here ha ha!!!

Certainly makes it hard plan, especially if you knew a month ago 2017 was out of reach. They got a behind the scenes footy manager that trawls around or has people on the hunt like most clubs do these days? It's amazing how many phone calls about potential coaches, players etc are already occuring, seems to get earlier every year.

Hopefully the new committee you alert to is soon as early to mid October could be too late.

Felt sorry for the coachs......... ( they the coachs) did not have the confidence in playing the young kids last year ......keep playing old blokes....too slow x the ground.... they played the young kids this year because they had F/ all left to pick from ....as for his time at Epping ..... he walked into a mess the previous coach left behind........... just like he did at Elthem ....... good luck in what ever you do next year Steve
