When connected to the TV via my PC it works perfectly but when I watch it on my google nexus on the train going to work it constantly sticks and I have to reboot it. Probably the internet connection but it is worth noting.

Any choppiness, freezing, is due ONLY to internet connection. Again, if using a browser to watch gamepass, use a LITE browser, bereft of add-ons. If you watch gamepass on tablet, using the app it's without choppiness/freezing, because it's bereft of add-ons.

NFLN is a slightly lower quality. Doesn't matter too much anyway unless you HAVE to watch TNF.

Can anyone confirm if I buy the Apple TV that I will be able to watch NFL Game Pass on my TV (via the iPad app)...
I don't want to go buy the thing to work out the app is blocked or doesn't come across to the screen..

No idea but I'd email Gamepass support and ask them.
They've always responded fairly quickly whenever I've sent them a question.

The "free" game they had showing at the start of last season was the AFC divisional game between Balt and Denver.

It infuriates me that even though I'm subscribed to game pass and logged into nfl.com every video I click on still has ads and even ads for gamepass!
I have just bought a Samsung Smart TV, what is the best way of accessing NFL GamePass on it?
I tried the web browser but when i select a game or NFL Network it loads but then freezes immediately. I assume Samsung do not have an app like they do for MLB?

Been trying to watch NFL Network recently but the playback is very very choppy and low quality. Getting quite annoying.

I noticed that too even during the season… reported it to them that you can't really fast fwd to the stage of the game you want.. it's also restarted from the start while you watch the condensed version then returns to the original spot from where you left it last.
