If Bundoora can stay fit, they are still very much a threat. Hurstbridge were poor today it must be said, Bundy kick behind after behind stopped the score from really blowing out early.

Nth Heidelberg in great form have jumped to 3rd, they have Whittlesea this week and then a massive clash with Montmorency to finish first round of games.
Do we have another challenger to Heidelberg?

Are we sleeping on Banyule as a finals contender?

Two tight losses against Bundoora and Greensborough, both by less than 10 points.

They are currently running a percentage of 110%

Next three games are huge. If they can pinch one or two of them they will be right in the hunt.

Top 4 are set. The problem is here are the next 3 games for Greensborough and Banyule.

Banyule- Montmorency, Heidelberg, Bundoora.
Grennsy- Hurstbrudge, Macleod, Whittesea

You'd think Greensborough will extend there 1 game buffer on them over that period to possibly 3 games. It's hard to make up 3 games with only 8 left.

Banyule will knock off Monty

Round 8 and top 5 play bottom 5 sides

Hurstbridge 6th vs Greensborough 5th. Huge game for both clubs who were both soundly beaten last week. The bridges with 5 changes including Stewart while for the Boro, they get Smith back to face his old side. A Hurstbridge win will see them jump in the top 5, a Greensborough win will keep them at least a game clear in 5th. Going with the home team to bounce back. Hurstbridge by 11 points

Montmorency 2nd vs Banyule 7th. Two good ins for Mont with Gardner and Walton both returning. It was the evergreen P Fitzgerald and Porter leading from the front with 6 coaches votes each last week. For Banyule Della Rocca, Carafa and Jones all in the votes in their big win over Whittlesea. Huge challenge for Banyule and they will take it right up to Montmorency however at home Montmorency will get over the line. Monty by 19 points Congratulations to Paddy Fitzgerald who plays his 250th game tomorrow, awesome player to watch

Heidelberg 1st vs West Preston 8th The tigers continue on their winning ways with Gilmore, Wilson and Sier leading from the front. Gilmore is an out this week with 4 other changes but the get B Tardio back. For the roosters, they were never on the game last week but did keep plugging away, a 6 goal deficit at quarter time could have meant a big loss but they won the next 3 quarters to go down by 28 points. I can’t see them getting over the line this week either. Heidelberg by 34 points

Whittlesea 10th vs Nth Heidelberg 3rd. Another tough day for the Eagles with Watson and Murphy battling hard in another defeat. For the doggies, they are flying but will be without Daw, Matthews and Tardio but do get Baddeley-Kelly back from VFL duties. Another tough day for the Eagles. Nth Heidelberg by 81 points

Bundoora 4th vs Macleod 9th The bulls got back on the winning ways and look to go 2 in a row this week against Macleod. Shepheard got the 10 coaches votes, with Bowne, McNiece, East and Collins all in the votes. For Macleod they battled away against Heidelberg but a 10-3 goal third quarter but an end to the contest. They do get Barden, Hurley and Leggett back but Hobbs is a big out. Bundoora by 24 points

Good luck to all players selected as 23rd man this week, great effort and enjoy the senior experience

Hursty vs Greensy is the game that should be most interesting, however we seem to get an upset result most weeks.

They're tough to beat at home, so I reckon your predictions are spot on Thunder1
